You are AMAZING...Guest Designer~Stamplorations Bi-Weekly Sketch Challenge #34, STAMPlorations Anything Goes, TIME OUT Challenge #31~Grunge

Good  Monday Morning, All...and what a fabulous Monday it is here in Canada. DAY OFF!

Actually, while a holiday is a very good thing, I'm exponentially stoked, excited and honoured even more to be Guest Designing for STAMPlorations! THANK YOU so much, Shery and the DT for inviting me to play along with  you in this challenge

This two weeks' STAMPlorations Bi-Weekly Sketch Challenge #34 is fabulous (and challenging!) - and I must say, I did some major happy dancing when I saw it.  Butterflies...not one, but four!  Another *thank you* to Shery!

My take on the sketch is ‘quite’ literal, although I didn’t get the scalloped edges as illustrated on the first border as I’d hoped…my masking needs practice!  Everything, except for the butterfly die cuts (I am soooo terrible at fussy cutting) is STAMPlorations, with the Mixed Media Grunge set taking top billing (including the stamping on the butterflies) and Bold Sentiments: Hashtag Authentic as supporting cast.

Please head on over (or, if you've already been, thank you for coming my way) to see how the amazing STAMPlorations team has interpreted this sketch.  One thing guaranteed: you'll be ultra impressed!  I'm off to see for myself...come along with me...and we'll leave them some love as we journey, too.

I'm also sharing my card at STAMPlorations Anything Goes

and TIME OUT Challenges #31~Grunge (can you believe it...early!  After missing out on two last time, I've learned my lesson. Sort of *grin*)

I'm looking forward to your takes on this ultra-cool sketch.  See you in the gallery!

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!

Be Creative...STAMPlorations Bi-Weekly Sketch #33 and Anything Goes, Simply Create Too #85~Favourite Colour Combo

Hello!  Was this a whoosh-week for anyone else?  I can't believe it's Friday already, and the added bonus *long weekend*! Happy, happy, happy!  My husband and I may head to the 'big' city for some shopping and perhaps even a movie.  In a theatre!  That's coming mighty close to being a 'date', don't you think?  Hmnnn...

I'm dashing in with my card for STAMPlorations Bi-Weekly Sketch #32. As you will see, however,

I turned the sketch sideways (actually, I turned my head sideways, first) - like so -

and, once that happened, well...wouldn't you know it...all I visualized was the 'outside' edge of the butterflies stencil.  I tried to shake it off, go with something different, but...nope,  Stuck. in. my. head.  So I went with it.  To be sure I stayed reasonably sort of true to the sketch, I lightly stamped my sentiment along the left edge..and then hauled off and stamped it smack dab in a more 'obvious' place.  Just to be sure...

To Shery and the DT....hope I haven't taken liberties to the extreme and that the sketch is 'see-able'. If not, I understand.

My sunset/sunrise flittering butterflies are also heading to STAMPlorations Anything Goes

and to Simply Create Too #85~Favourite Colour Combo, because I quite like the blend of red-orange-yellow.

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!

While that's exciting in and of itself, we're also combining this challenge with a bit of a twist, a bit of a surprise...

Celebrate...CAS(E) this Sketch #122

Hello...

Wednesday has come rather quickly! Wow...and even though I've not crafted nearly as much as I would like (missing mojo...have you seen it? Send. it. back. Please.), I have a card to share for CAS(E) this Sketch #122, designed by the marvelously talented, ultra sweet, Leigh Penner. She is extraordinary, as a designer and especially, as a mom!

Yes, yes...I took liberties. I didn't include banners (sorry, Leigh), but hopefully, the two lines of sentiment are a 'close' replacement.  And, yes...you are right...any opportunity to 'fit' a butterfly, or two, or eleventy-twelve, into a challenge, rest assured, I'll give it my best shot *grin*

NOTE:  Honored and thrilled to be selected as a CAS(E) this Sketch Favourite! THANK YOU!!!

Short and sweet today...I have a disorganized crafting zone that needs some attention.  Given my space is the size of a postage stamp, even a small mess is chaotic!  I am running out of room to put stuff  (and that would be why,  you ask? Because stuff' keeps coming the mail...Funny how that happens) and it's make me a bit crazy.  May have to spill on to the kitchen table...

Thanks ever so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!

Collage-ish Fancy Butterfly...Freshly Made Sketches #185, Fusion~French Twist

Hello!

I'm rushing in with a crack-of-dawn, foggy Monday morning (weather and *me*...had yet another one of those sleepless nights...grrr...) to share my sort-of collage-ish butterfly card. The elements are an unusual pairing, but...I 'think' they work okay together.

My layout inspiration came from Freshly Made Sketches #185

and the colours from Fusion~French Twist, with some extra incentive from the amazingly talented and sweet Michele, at icardeveryone, who has cooked up not just one, but two, gorgeous cards using this yellow-and-grey combination.

Time to stare in my closet, to figure out what to wear to work (our classroom is a sauna one hour, a freezer the next), eat breakfast and head off.

Have a marvelous Monday and thank you so much for dropping by! Your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!
Hugs,

Winnie & Walter iNSD 2015 with Pinkfresh Studio Challenges...Colour Challenge, Sketch Challenge, Mood Board Challenge

Hello!

Hope your Saturday has been, and continues to be, fabulous!  My planned stay-home-and-craft day, wound up being shortened, as I ran about tending to some errands and dealing with some much needed cleaning.  I managed a couple cards, which you'll see soon-ish...

Today's post is my "Winnie & Walter with Pinkfresh Studio Challenge Exclusive".  I decided, while waiting for my new W&W haul couple of items to arrive, to join in on a few of their INSD challenges and to up the ante for Mr. *Meh* Mojo of late, to use ONLY W&W products from my stash.  While I have plenty of cutaways, my stamp collection is quite small (remedy enroute *clapping hands with girlish glee*), so I did what I could with what I have on hand.  By the way, have you seen the cards in the various galleries? Only spectacular and awesome!  I'm feeling intimidated, however...it's all about having fun, right!

Card #1 is for Winnie & Walter~iNSD 2015 with Pinkfresh Studio | Color Challenge

Since I love the simplicity of the dots, I recast them using my Flurries set and a gold congrats diecut...

My second card was inspired (and 'perspired') by Winnie & Walter~iNSD 2015 with Pinkfresh Studio | Card Sketch Challenge.  Hokey smokes, that was a challenge in and of itself, never mind my added layer of using W&W only though.  Fortunately, I remembered the cool hole-piercing die from my Katherine Essentials and paired that with stars from Parentville, along with a rainbow sponged Happy cutaway...

For my third and final number is for Winnie & Walter~iNSD 2015 with Pinkfresh Studio | Mood Board Challenge. I selected the 'triangles' from the bottom photo and the colours from the right side rainbow/writing tools photo.  Triangle creative screening came out to play....

And here's my trio, posing in all their brightness (which I didn't realize was so prevalent until they're beside one another! Eek!

Wishing all you moms a most HAPPY and MARVELOUS Mother's Day tomorrow! Hope that spoiling and pampering, in hefty, hearty helpings, come your way!

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!

Happy Birthday Florals..Inkspirational Challenge #82~Recipe, STAMPlorations Anything Goes, Winnie & Walter iNSD 2015 with Pinkfresh Studio~Create Your Own Background Challenge

Hello!

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #82~Recipe where, for the next two weeks, we're inviting you to bake...er, design...a card with inspiration drawn from our lovely Shauna's designer's choice recipe:

Recipe - Use at least 3 of these 4 elements:
 Distressing, Flowers, Embossing, Pearls

It's quite amazing how these four elements can be interpreted, as you'll see in the dazzling cards created by my fabulous and talented Design Teamies:

Please head over, check out their crafty ingenuity and leave them some love, which I know they'll appreciate immensely.

As for me, the ingredients sent me to my Happy Flowers stencil and daisy stamp combo, which were treated to hearty helpings of distress inks, followed by, in the case of the first one...a vellum embossed sentiment panel. I know...me using vellum!  Let's call that 'done' for a while...another thing on my 'I don't know how to operate this' list!  Flowers + distress inks + embossing = recipe accomplished.

After making one card, I decided on a second...same stencil/stamp, different distress inks, and the sentiment white embossed on the banner...

Hope I've offered a bit of inspiration to encourage you to head to your stash, select your three elements (or all four) and whip up a card/project to share in the Ink gallery. You may be the one we choose as a future Guest Designer!
