AAA Colourful - Colourboard Challenge 11 - Celebrate and Best Wishes (PFS Poinsettia Frame, Here for You Sentiments, TE strips)

Hello,

Popping in to share two cards inspired AAA Colourful: Colourboard #11. That image is positively gorgeous!

Even though the festive season is over, I'm not ready to put away all my Christmas products.

For this challenge, I wanted to see if my Pinkfresh Studio Poinsettia Frame set could be used with non-traditional colours; specifically, the palette featured here. Two panels - and two cards later - I was done.

The inks I used are listed below; hopefully they bear a close resemblance to the colours swatch. I'm not sure why my photos make the leaves looks more green than aqua (because I used aqua inks), but...oh well. Sighhh.... The sentiments are from Here For You (PFS) press plates/dies and Taylored Expressions strips.

Pinkfresh Studio Inks:
Cherry Blossom, Slumber + Blue Jay
Ocean Breeze + Aquamarine
Altenew Inks:
Citrus Burst + Fresh Lemon

Card 2:

I'll let you decide if my experiment worked. I think they did...maybe...sort of...

Once again, thank you to the AAA Colourful designers for their fabulous challenge and wonderful inspiration.

Thank you, as well, to the two other challenges I've joined:

Inkspirational Challenge #332 - Reminder Post - Designer's Choice - Pretty Quilt

Hello,

Popping in today with a reminder that you still have a week to play over at Inkspirational Challenge #332 - Designer's Choice - Pretty Quilt.

Last week, I shared this 'quilt' using Concord & 9th's Pinwheel Quilt coverplate and dies:

With the leftovers from the four patterned papers, I was able to create two more quilt cards:

I had a blast with this challenge; hope you do, too!
Looking forward to seeing your pretty quilt in the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #757 - WORD Week - Masculine - Hockey Thanks (Photoplay)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #757, where our lovely hostess, Sue, has selected *Masculine* as our Word Week inspiration.
We're delighted to have Annette Elias joining us as our January Guest Designer.

I don't have much by way of masculine products (or the creativity to stylize what I have with a masculine vibe) but, I do have Photoplay's It's A Hockey Life in my stash. My sister-in-law needs thank you cards for my nephew's coaches so I've cobbled together this one to add to her stash.

Looking forward to seeing your masculine-themed cards/projects in the gallery.

Thank you for dropping by!

Inkspirational Challenge #332 - Designer's Choice - Pretty Quilt - LOVE Pinwheels Quilt (Concord and 9th)

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #332 - our first "official" challenge of 2025. We have a full slate of new challenges planned; hopefully you, our wonderful players, will be as excited and inspired by them as we are.

For the next two weeks, Julia's Designer's Choice Challenge is: PRETTY QUILT. Who doesn't love to curl up under a cozy quilt, especially when we're enveloped in the chilliness of winter or just need a comforting cuddle? Perhaps you have a special handmade quilt that evokes fond memories of the person who made it for you. We invite you to take the concept of PRETTY QUILT and translate it into a card/project.

One of my 'plans' this year is to shop my stash and, in trying to decide on how to approach this challenge, I re-discovered my Concord & 9th's Quilt Pinwheel cover plate + dies. I selected four styles of patterned papers from a pad in my stash and set about making my pinwheel quilt blocks. Fiddly work, but I'm happy with the results. Of course, I had some 'fabric' left over, so you may see another card (or two) down the road.

Please head over to the main blog to see my amazing team's Pretty Quilts. While you're there, check out Julia's link for card quilt tutorials on Youtube.

Looking forward to seeing you in the gallery!

Just Us Girls Challenge #756 - Use a Die - Anything Goes - Happy 2025 - (Hero Arts, Waffle Flower, ASD)

Hello,

Happy New Year!

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #756, where you'll notice a few changes. Launching today is Use A Die Challenge, which replaces our former Colour Challenge. While this week the theme is anything goes, future Die challenges might be specific.  [It is totally up to the Hostess.]  We hope you like this new challenge, especially given the wide variety of dies many of us have in our stashes. Let's give our dies the starring role on the stage!

A new month also means a new Guest Designer; joining us for January is Annette Elias. Please head to the main blog to see her wonderful card, as well as those from my teammates.

My New Year's card features several dies: Hero Arts Classic Numbers, Waffle Flowers Snowflake Background and a sentiment from Alex Syberia Deisgns' Midnight Blooms. Lots of shimmer and shine on this one!

Looking forward to seeing your dies delights in the gallery!

Color Hues Challenge #101 - Red and Kraft - Warm Wishes Radiating Snowflake (Pinkfresh Studio) and Just For You Reindeer (SB Felt Stitching)

Hello,

Happy New Year! May 2025 bring you an abundance of all things wonderful and joyous!

Welcome to Colour Hues Challenge #101, where our lovely hostess, Sheri, invites us to use hues of Red and Kraft as inspiration. This is a pretty combination for Valentine's Day, which will be here in a blink, as well as a variety of other occasions.

We're delighted to have Stephanie S. joining us as our Guest Designer.

We're having a few days of snow and cold weather in my part of Alberta over the next few days, so featuring a card with a snowflake just seemed appropriate. That, and the fact that I'm not quite ready to move on from winter-themed images yet.  Pinkfresh Studio's Radiating Snowflake and Festive Grid cover plate have come out to play; joining them is a sentiment from Alex Syberia Design's Midnight Blooms.

And, just for fun, I made a paper version of my Spellbinders' Felt Stitched Reindeer. Let's just say he was easier to make with paper than he was to stitch with felt. LOL!

Looking forward to seeing how Red and Kraft inspire you!

The challenge will be open until January 14th @ 9:00 am EDT.

The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge and the overall
winner will have the opportunity to be a future Guest Designer.

Thank you for dropping by!
