Inkspirational Challenge #229~Designer's Choice...Snowman Flurry of Happiness inspired by Snowmen on Bike

Hello,

Hope that everyone had a most Merry Christmas celebration, even though, for many of us, things were very different. Hard to believe the day has come and passed so quickly; now, we await the New Year, in anticipation of brighter days and a return to 'normal'.  Fingers crossed!

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #229, where Nonni, for her designer's choice) invites us to share 'something in your home' as part of your card/project.  And speaking of Nonni: after 6 fabulous years, she has decided to leave the Inkspirational team *sob*. You will be very much missed here, my friend...but we know where to find you!

Because I'm still in Christmas card mode - and likely to be so for another few weeks (please, bear with me *grin*) - I selected a snowman-themed piece of Christmas decor that I made ages-and-ages ago, when I dabbled for a while with painting on wood. Of course, none of the things I made were full-fledged originals; rather, I attended classes where we purchased pre-cut shapes, traced the images and painted, under the guidance of wonderful teachers. I so enjoyed those outings and still have nearly everything I made. The one I'm sharing here is a favourite, even though it teeters a bit; nothing that a hot glue gun wouldn't fix...if I had one! On the post-Christmas shopping list.

Here's my snowmen, hanging on to one another as they cycle through the snow (the snowflake tires are such fun!),

and my snowman card...because I LOVE snowmen (and the number of stamps/dies I have is proof)! This fellow is from Your Next Stamp; he's adorable!

Please check out where this prompt took my teammates, then play along with us!

EH 12 Days of Christmas Tags~Days 8 - 12

Hello,

Mission accomplished! I've completed my goal for Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas 2020!  Yayyy!

Here are the final 5:

On Day 8, Emily drew inspiration from "We Wish You A Merry Christmas." I used a new gift card tag for my version, with a sentiment that connects to wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Alas, no figgy pudding images *grin*

Carly's Day 9 tag was inspired by"Holly Jolly Christmas," so I played along with some jolly Paper Smooches images. The gift card tag is the same one as above.

Adelina's tag for Day 10, sparked by "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer," made me laugh out loud! She created quite the fitting scene! Me: not so clever, so I went with the 'reindeer'.

Kelly's Day 11 tag, featuring "Deck the Halls," saw me dipping into some 'hoarded' paper from P13 (their papers are positively scrumptious!!) and an older, timeless stamp from Gina K Designs. Isn't that holly on the front tag gorgeous? And the second tag is the back of the holly paper. Swoon!

Julie's "12 Days of Christmas" tag for Day 12 had me stumped for a bit, until I remembered my brand new Dove die from Paper Smooches; the two tags fit the song's line "On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me: two turtle doves...".

And that, my friends, is a wrap! Huge thank you to the fabulous designers from Ellen Hutson, whose inspiration and creativity brought me 12 (actually 13, as I have two Santa tags) more rounds of tag-making JOY!!

Thank you for dropping by!

EH 12 Days of Christmas Tags~Days 3-7

Hello,

I've been making tags and am 'this close' to completing one for each day of Ellen Hutson's 12 Days of Christmas Tags Challenge!  Fingers crossed I can get the last couple done before the link closes tomorrow.

Therese, on Day 3, was inspired by "Santa Claus is Coming to Town"; easy to see that Santa inspired me too! In fact, I was inspired to make two tags!  The first is very, very sparkly

and the second is my first time with a TH Colourize die. Such fun!

"Sleigh Ride" was Lisa's inspiration for Day 4. Limited sleighs in my collection, so I went with the "snow" and, specifically, a 'wonderland of snow' for my tag/bookmark. Patterned paper paired with a snow die from Uniko.

Jessica was inspired by "White Christmas" (one of my all-time favourites) for her Day 5 tag; the 'tree tops glisten' inspired me, as did her palette. More sparkle on my bookmark/tag...

"Home for the Holidays" was Michele's song of choice for Day 6. My Mini Cooper is heading home, loaded down with oodles of Christmas gifts!

Finally, for Day 7, Heather was inspired by "A Marshmallow World", which is a new 'oldie' to me! My connection is obvious!

That's it for now...

Hello,

Welcome to my reminder post for STAMPlorations December CAS Challenge, where Anything CAS Goes, with an optional colour twist of red and brown.

I went with the twist this time, using the cutie-patootie snowman from Holiday Expressions: Yuletide Cheer. I decided not to add a sentiment on the card front, leaving my snowman as the star of the stage! Isn't he darling!! LOVE!

That's it from me; time for you to play along.

Warm and Cozy Wishes...Freshly Made Sketches #465, Your Next Stamp Challenge #154~All Wrapped Up

Hello,

Yayyy...an opportunity to join in some challenges for a bit, even though I haven't addressed or mailed any of my Christmas cards yet. On the agenda for tomorrow.  Today, I'm playing!

My card was made for two challenges:  Freshly Made Sketches #465 (because hey, look: a tag!) and Your Next Stamp Challenge #154~All Wrapped Up

Flurry of Happiness has two (or rather, four) super cute snowpeople images; I've used one set here. Seriously, how sweet is this knitting snowman, with the little ones watching? So adorable! My tag is a new one that doubles as a gift card/small treat holder. I'm rather smitten by it!

That's it for now! Wishing you a wonderful Monday!

Inspirational Challenge #228~Snow...Penguins and Snowman Warmest Wishes

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #228, where our word prompt is most fitting for the season - at least in my part of the world - Snow.  Snowflakes, wintry wonderlands, a play on the word snow...bring us a blizzard of snowy creativity!

Snowman, snow backgrounds and penguins dressed for snowy weather: that's snow to the power of three on my card *grin*  These little images make me smile - and they don't seem to mind the chilly weather in the least!

EH 12 Days of Christmas Tags: Little Drummer Boy Inspired (Day 2)

Hello,

On Day 2, Ardyth delighted us with an adorable gingerbread man and drum, with inspiration drawn from "Little Drummer Boy."  I used the line "New born king to see" for my tag...

I've had this PTI stamp/die set forever! It's timeless!

Ellen Hutson 12 Days of Christmas Tags~Day 1: Silver Bells Inspired

Hello!

Apparently, even after 26 days of non-stop tag making-and-sharing, I'm still *not* played out! I'm joining Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas 2020 and, today, I have tags for Days 1 - 7. Yep, I'm tag-addicted! Alas, I can't use the same link for all 7, so...a flurry of SHORT blogs about to happen.

Sandy Allnock's tag for Day 1 features inspiration from "Silver Bells". The lyrics I chose to represent on my tag (actually, it's intended as a bookmark) are: "Strings of streetlights, even stop lights/Blink a bright red and green..."

The Color Hues Challenge #7~Blue and Magenta...Snowflake Joy

Hello,

Happy December (that came around fast!) and welcome to The Color Hues Challenge #7, blue and magenta are the hues we're inviting you to play with for the next two weeks.  Such a pretty combination, for Christmas or...well, anything!

A while back (as in pre-winter) I was lucky to win the TH Stunning Snowflake dies and they're finally making a debut here. They are soooo pretty and the two dies offer a real variety of combinations with mixing/matching layers. I won't pretend these delicate flakes were 'easy' to work with, but I think that's due to the mirror cardstock I used that makes things rather slippery.  I made three snowflake combinations and was 'this close' to putting all on a card until my husband intervened. He said "One per card" and I listened! Glad I did: I now have three more for my Christmas stash! Just sharing two here; the otherswill make an appearance later.  Oh...and the Joy diecut is from Photoplay. LOVE it!

Please visit the rest of the team; you'll be sooooo impressed by their creativity:

The challenge is open until 9:00 AM (EST) on December 14th.
The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge goes live.

STAMPlorations December CAS Challenge~Anything Goes (optional twist: Red and Brown)...Merry Christmas Slimline

Hello,

Welcome to STAMPlorations December CAS Card Challenge, where Anything Goes is always the theme, with an optional colour twist which, this month, is red and brown.

I'm sharing a slimline today, featuring the Wheels ARTplorations Slimline stencil paired with the Merry Christmas Word Art die, cut from mirror cardstock and backed with three layers of white cardstock for some dimension. While this isn't 'technically' a clean + simple card, it was super simple to make! Once I had the idea, the entire process was under 15 minutes! Seriously!

That's it from me; time for you to play along.
