Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #82~Recipe where, for the next two weeks, we're inviting you to bake...er, design...a card with inspiration drawn from our lovely Shauna's designer's choice recipe:
Recipe - Use at least 3 of these 4 elements:
Distressing, Flowers, Embossing, Pearls
It's quite amazing how these four elements can be interpreted, as you'll see in the dazzling cards created by my fabulous and talented Design Teamies:
Please head over, check out their crafty ingenuity and leave them some love, which I know they'll appreciate immensely.
As for me, the ingredients sent me to my Happy Flowers stencil and daisy stamp combo, which were treated to hearty helpings of distress inks, followed by, in the case of the first one...a vellum embossed sentiment panel. I know...me using vellum! Let's call that 'done' for a while...another thing on my 'I don't know how to operate this' list! Flowers + distress inks + embossing = recipe accomplished.
After making one card, I decided on a second...same stencil/stamp, different distress inks, and the sentiment white embossed on the banner...
Hope I've offered a bit of inspiration to encourage you to head to your stash, select your three elements (or all four) and whip up a card/project to share in the Ink gallery. You may be the one we choose as a future Guest Designer!

So beautiful! I love the delicate doily and your color choices look so happy... And I'm a big fan of vellum! Love this!

So very pretty Carol, you rock with this stencil and the vellum looks great, you should use it again x
Just lovely, Carol ... such pretty colours ... love the vellum panel ... actually I love the black one too! Hugs, Anita :)
Both cards are oh so pretty! I like the one with the vellum. That sure is a tricky medium. The colors are lovely. You did yourself proud here!
So beautiful..love them both!
Gorgeous cards, Carol! This is such a beautiful stencil and your color combos work perfectly! I also love both versions of your sentiment panels...the vellum gives it such a light and airy feel and the black grounds the colors so well! Hope you're having a great weekend!
Oh, c... so pretty! And you know how much I like to cook, right? I sure hope I have the chance to enter my dish!

Both are soooo pretty! Love!
Carol...you totally rock those beautiful daisies...just love what you do with them. So perfect for anyone's birthday! Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
These are both beautiful! Hugs!
I am way behind in my commenting Carol, between Dwayne still running high fevers and being in pain from the tumor, then the death of my mother-I just haven't had the time. But I have checked out your wonderful cards and of course I'm in love with all the posts you have done! Love these cards, those daisies are just gorgeous and of course one of my favorite flowers. I love that you used velum and I love that you tried more things on your "don't know how to operate" list! lol Looks like you know how to operate to me!! Sending mega hugs your way, Brenda
Awesome cards, Carol! I really love the second card. Bothe black really adds some drama and makes the colours pop. You rocked the challenge! :-)
I love the two different looks you've achieved - fabulous designs, great cards.
I lost my comment
let me write again Miss C
First card I love the modern one with vellum sentiment
you really made a great background too miss C like me I love making self BG
and the second one also modern cause the sentiment on black paper is popular now and I love them both

I love daisies and these are beautiful, Carol. I don't know why you don't like vellum. It looks great on the card and lets the flowers show through.
These cards are Ginormous beauties in my eyes!! Wonderfully done with such a hint of whimsy to them because of the color choices!! I love your talent and what you have done with these daisies!! Have a delightful day and remember one if your biggest fans lives in OREM - yes, I am talking about ME!!!!
Beautiful! The daisies covering the whole BG looks amazing :)
Beautiful cards! The vellum works so well with the soft, vibrant colors. Really admiring your schmick free embossed sentiment too. Awesome effect with the various shades of pink on your second card. The black border and sentiment banner provide nice dynamic contrast!
lol I have a bit of a love/hate thing going with vellum too. Totally works for your card though - the perfect addition. I'm loving how you used the flower to cover the entire background. I'm racking my brain to work out if I have something similar I could use to CASE it. ;)
Beautiful cards! Love the two different takes with the stencil and stamps!!
