Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #603, where Ina has selected this lovely floral photo as this week's inspiration. 

A huge thank you to Loll Thompson for being our stellar Guest Designer this month. Her card and those of my team see a blog exploding with purple floral delights. If you have opportunity to drop in and leave them some love, I know that will be deeply appreciated.

I pulled out an oldie from my Concord & 9th collection: Brushed Blossom. In the past, I've typically stamped the flowers and placed the die cut as an overlay. This time, I decided to try inlaying the floral bits. So glad I did; I love the look!  A few lilac splatters (using a stamp of course) gave the finishing touch.

Just Us Girls Challenge #546~Photo Week...Avery Elle Peek-a-Boo Fair and Jungle Pals

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #546, where our lovely Lisa has selected this amusement park photo for our inspiration.  We may not have opportunity to enjoy fairs and corresponding rides this summer but we can still have fun with our festival stamps and dies...or whatever sparks your imagination!

We're so grateful to have had Trina Pham as our July guest designer. Her cards have been outstanding and the one she created for her finale is no exception! Please, enjoy gazing at and admiring her sweet card, as well as all the smile-making creations by the rest of the team: Sue, Angie, Vicki, Ina, Bobby, Nancy, Lisa, Maria and Cécile. Once again, I had a big ol' play date with my Avery Elle Fair and Jungle Pals sets! Their cuteness makes resisting them a challenge *grin* Hope you enjoy my critters enjoying their bumper car and ferris wheel rides!  They even treated themselves to ice cream!

Just Us Girls Challenge #533~Photo Week...Thank You for being so Wonderful!

Hope your Saturday is off to a sunny, healthy start! This week, our lovely Maria has this pretty, vibrant,lively springtime photo as our prompt from Just Us Girls Challenge #533.  Just looking at this garden of blooms, drifting clouds and flittering butterflies makes me smile!

I drew inspiration from the red/black of the poppy on the bottom left and the blue/purple of the smaller daisies to make my layered 'sunflower' cards, using Paper Smooches dies and stamps. I let them be the star-of-the-stage...they're sweet all on their own!

Alas, no elephants in my collection, so I went with the photo's theme of 'safari' animals...and added a whimsical touch. The background Zebra Stripes stencil and the Wild sentiment are from the brand-spanking-new release from Uniko Studios. The little zebra: Paper Smooches.

Simple beach card, using images from MFT's Penguins in Paradise and their Cloud stencil, along with a sun from YNS. Sparkly sand and beverages, but hard to see in the photo.  All the rain we've been having sees me longing for sunshine, blue skies and warmer (but not too warm) temperatures...

Given that I live in the foothills of Alberta, combined with harbouring a fear of water and whatever lurks in it depths (sorry for the pun *grin*), my collection of sea objects is pretty much non-existent. I do, however, have a variety of ocean creatures on hand, which are cute and not scary! Studio Katia Under the Sea for images; same for the aperture and panel.

Two CAS cards today: the first inspired by the shimmery red stars, paired with all that lovely white space, and

(hard to see, but the red is shimmer cardstock...so pretty in real life0

the second, by the red/brown/white palette and snowflakes.

(The white snowflake is shimmer paper, too.)

Definitely clean, simple designs, amped up with the snippets of shimmer. Hopefully a duo that brings you a smile....
