Many are the days I miss living closer to my family, but each time I look out the window, and see the stunning Three Sister mountains, the beauty of my surroundings changes my outlook (most of the time...and we are *only* 4 hours drive away...). Today, my husband and I traveled west, into Banff National Park to Lake Louise, where the scenery is absolutely stunning! Our mission: a lovely long hike, in summer-like weather, on wonderful trails, and a chance to simply spend time together. Our route took us past the glamourous Chateau Lake Louise, up the path (it's a bit challenging, but certainly worth every step!) to the well-known teahouse at Lake Agnes, then around the lake, up some more, until eventually we headed down to meet the connecting walkway meanders past Lake Louise itself. We happened to catch our first glimpse of the larch trees turning yellow...how spectacular they are!! Wonderful day, spent with most marvelous company!! Once home, I had a mission to accomplish...
Early in September, the ever-creative, delightful, talented Savannah O'Gwynn, from Virtual Smooches, shared super-duper cute little bitty-bags, decorated with - what else - PS products. Of course, I was smitten, and the project was added to my "must try" list. This week's PS SPARKS Designer Drafts Challenge
was incentive to give them a go, especially since, if you read my earlier post, I'm on a "little things" kick. My little bags, not the same as Savannah used by any stretch, are simple wee kraft bags that have been sitting neglected in my stash for far too long. Since a 'big city' trip is a few weeks away, and the challenge was this week, I did what I had to do: improvised!
Here are my first two bitty bags...and the rest of the package will be treated accordingly! I already have plans for these babies: homes for wee treats for my niece's daycare - oops, *school* - mates.
My PS products include the frame die,Chit Chat sentiments, little dots from Reflections, and my 'go to' butterfly from Flap Happy. Despite the small scale, I "tried" to follow the sketch: dots - check, sentiment on banner - check; squarish focal image - check. Simple little bags, with a bit of jazzing up...
Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit adds sparkle to my day!!
