I'm delighted that my long-time friend who, like me, is also a schnauzer furbaby mom, Greta Hess, is our August Guest Designer. She is soooo talented; guaranteed you'll enjoy her dazzles and delights over the course of the month.

Once again, I reached for my Spellbinders floral petals die; soooo pretty in the challenge colours. Sentiment is from Taylored Espressions.

HLS August 2023 Christmas Challenge - Anything Goes (optional: Elf) - Merry Christmas Elf with Deer on Top (Stamping Bella, Waffle Flower)

Welcome to Happy Little Stampers August 2023 Christmas Challenge, where the theme is always Anything Goes. We also have an optional twist which, this month, is ELF.

I've had Stamping Bella's Elf with a Reindeer on Top stamp/die in my stash for ages and today, finally, marks its debut. I can't believe I waited so long; the image is adorable! Need to stamp a few more and start colouring! I placed these cuties on ovals from MCT, sprinkled a few snowflakes from Lawn Fawn and added a sentiment from Waffle Flower. I'm so thrilled with how this turned out.

Looking forward to seeing your Christmas makes in the gallery, with or without an ELF.

Coffee Loving Cardmakers Guest Designer August 2023 - Featuring STAMPlorations Coffee Ephemera

I'm thrilled to be the August Guest Designer at Coffee Loving Cardmakers; thank you so much for inviting me, Amy!  Even though my coffee taste runs exclusively to 'hot-and-black', it's a must have, several times a day beverage. I pair it with toast and peanut butter in the morning, with homemade cookies in the afternoon and, on days where splurging is in order, with something from a local bakery that has overtones of coffee. Yep...I love my coffee! 

Today - as you can see from the photo above - I'm sharing a trio of cards featuring products from super sponsor, STAMPlorations. As you may know, Shery offers a wide range of paper goods and thin dies; those coffee-themed are definitely my favourites. 

My first two cards use a combination of For the Love of Coffee - Ephemera and Coffee Backgrounds ATC. I attached four of the backgrounds together, placed a rectangle frame overtop and ran them through my big shot. After that was cut, I used an oval frame to cut out the middle section. Net result: one rectangle background; one oval background. I added two oh-so-pretty images from the ephemera collection, along with a sentiment cut from one of the ATCs Easy-peasy.

The oval, for the second card, was attached to a scallop oval background, then paired with a coffee mug die cut, sporting texture from the Circles All Over cover plate, and another ATC sentiment, cut into three pieces. 

My third card showcases three more of the wonderful coffee ephemera pieces, a Java Great Day Phrase Die sentiment and, again, the Circles All Over cover plate.

Welcome to Happy Little Stampers August 2023 Birthday Challenge, where the theme is always "Anything Goes".

Last month, I posted a card using Taylored Expressions' Plants kit (stencils, stamps, dies, embossing folder) - and I'm doing the same this month. So many plants; so many possibilities! The little accessories - the plant hanger and stool, for instance - make for plenty of design choices.

Color Hues Challenge #69 - Teal & Orange - Just A Note (C and 9th - For the Record)

Welcome to Colour Hues Challenge #69, where our talented hostess, Sheri, invites us to use hues of Teal and Orange as inspiration for the next two weeks. 

We're delighted to have Deborah joining us as our guest designer for this challenge.  

I had yet another play with my Concord and 9th For the Record and Greatest Hits bundles. These are soooo much fun, especially as during the entire time crafting, I'm filled with back-in-the-day recollections of listening to vinyl records. Quality sound, those. 

A little 'record' note card tucked into the envelope adds the sweetest touch.

This challenge will be open until August 14th @ 9AM!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #239 - L is for Lindsey - Friends, Always (Colorado Craft Co.)

The Sisterhood Of Snarky Stampers Challenge #239 is a tribute to our lovely, wonderful Lindsey, who we lost on July 21, 2022. I don't even have words to express how deeply I miss her every. single. day. 

 

In honour of Lindsey, I'm bringing a cat to the challenge, because we well know her love for felines, especially her precious Duncan. My Anita Jeram kitty, sporting his fancy fall/winter clothing, is a cutie and, I found, easy to colour (whew!). Friends Always just seemed right...

I have another L is for Lindsey card to come...see you soon, Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! And, thank you for this fabulous challenge for our friend!

Inkspirational Challenge #295 - Use Stencils (Optional: Use Layering Stencils - Big Hugs Flower) (C and 9th Flower Press)

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #295, For the next two weeks, we're inviting you to have some fun with stencils - basically anything goes in terms of stencil style and theme - but you're also welcome to use the optional twist - Use Layering Stencils. With the wide range of stencils in the craft-iverse (the embossing folder + stencil combinations are dazzling me at present), we're sure you'll find something fabulous in your collection to share. 

Concord and 9th's Flower Press stencils are wonderful and the results are so pretty. The four stencils add different floral components to your card panel, which means you can use all four or just one, depending on the look you're aiming to achieve.  I've use them all and added a sentiment (stacked four deep for dimension and adhered to a vellum backing) from Just Say More dies.
