Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #321 where our word Prompt challenge for the next two weeks is: WOODLAND. A dictionary definition describes woodland as an area covered with woods, trees and/or shrubs. While a 'woodsy' card/project is a fabulous fit, we also encourage you to consider wider (and possibly even more 'fun') definitions.
- How about the flora (wildflowers, mushrooms, etc), and fauna (forest creatures - bears, moose, deer, bunnies, hedgehogs, snails...) that can be found in woodlands. Baby nurseries/cards are often fabulous sources of woodland inspiration.
- Or, perhaps the 'magical' beings that inhabit woodlands: fairies, elves, gnomes, ogres?
- What about activities that occur in/around woodlands: outdoor skating, sledding, nature walks?
My card features a combination of flora and fauna found in a woodland; I mean, where else would you find a Mushroom Mansion, nestled in leafy, floral surroundings, and its adorable snail owner? This Spellbinders collection is delightful and, despite the many pieces (the signature style of Spellbinders products, it seems), it didn't take "too" long to create this scene.
Looking forward to seeing how WOODLAND inspires you.
