Color Hues Challenge #87 - Coral and Teal - To My Favourite Person Flowers (Spellbinders Better Press)

Hello,

Mid-May already: time to launch Colour Hues Challenge #87. Our lovely hostess, Jules, invites us to use hues of Coral and Teal as our combination for the next two weeks.

We're also delighted to welcome our Guest Designer - Papierelle

After plenty of 'nope, don't need it', I came to the conclusion that I certainly did! The 'it' I'm referring to is the Better Press system - and it came along with a companion purchase - the Glimmer Hot Foil system. I may be late to embracing their possibilities, but trust me, I'm making up for lost time! I LOVE both!

My card features the press plate that comes with the Better Press system. Even though the image has been showcased by many crafters before me, it's a first for me. The flower is large enough to use ink blending brushes, so I did. Coral is from Pinkfresh Studio; Teal from Altenew. A trio of teal enamel dots and...done.

Most of the team used more vibrant hues of the colours; I opted for less so. Use the hues/vibrancy that works best for you.

Looking forward to your Coral and Teal creations filling the gallery.

The challenge will remain open until May 29th at 9 AM!

The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge and the overall winner will have the opportunity to be a future Guest Designer.

Thank you for dropping by!

So pretty Carol. I found a Glimmer machine in my Christmas stocking after saying I wouldn't indulge, LOL, but the Better Press is still on the Wish List. Perhaps it might make the birthday list? :)

So glad to hear you jumped on the bandwagon Carol...did you squeal with delight (like me?!!) after you saw the deep impression the Better Press leaves on the card panel?? I love to ink blend on cotton cardstock too...it really does give the prettiest and softest look! This press plate may have been used by many before you, but it's still absolutely BEAUTIFUL and I'm so glad you are enjoying your new "toys". Hugs. :0)

I recognized those pretty flowers immediately, and am reminded I need to get that Betterpress out for a run again. They are perfect colored in coral and teal--such a lovely card!

What a beautiful card Carol! The soft coral and teal you used go so well with that delicate floral. I really love both my Glimmer Hot Foil machine and Betterpress, more options for creating plus you can hot foil with your BP plates and it looks spectacular. Have fun with your new "schtuff"! 🙂

Well, I don't have the Betterpress system so I'm even more able to admire your stunningly beautiful card! Oh, the soft hues are fabulous and I'm glad you used them as they definitely make the florals elegant. Love it!

Carol could this card be any more beautiful? I just love everything about it. Its simplicity and it's complexity! I have not jumped on the BeterPress bandwagon, yet--lol! I'm sure one of these days I will but I'll be last to the party. xo
