Color Hues Challenge #78 - Light Blue & Navy - Thinking of You this Holiday Season (TH - Holiday Blocks, Erin Lee sentiment)

Hello,

HAPPY NEW YEAR! May your 2024 be filled with health, happiness, joy, plenty of creative time and, of course, love!

Welcome to Colour Hues Challenge #78, where our talented hostess, Marcia, invites us to draw inspiration from LIGHT BLUE & NAVY over the next two week. Such a pretty combination!
The Holiday Blocks, from Tim Holtz, joined my stash before Christmas - and it was only post-Christmas that I had opportunity to give them a go. All the dies were a little overwhelming at first (still are, actually), but after scoping out inspiration from a variety of designers and cutting out a bunch of pieces (Echo Park papers), I've started making 'some' inroads with the collection. This is the first card I've made...and there will be more, for sure!

Looking forward to seeing how Light Blue and Navy inspire you!

This challenge will be open until January 14th @ 9AM!

The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge goes live.
The overall winner will have the opportunity to be a
future Guest Designer!

Thank you for dropping by!

Carol your card is gorgeous and I love the patterned papers that you used! So inspiring. Sometimes all the tiny dies can be so overwhelming but the results are pure magic. Happy New Year my friend, wishing you a fabulous 2025 and we need to chat on the phone soon! xo

What a beautiful work of art, Carol! I'm not familiar with these dies, but I love how you've used them! All the cutting and arranging was worth it for your fabulous results, I think! Happy New Year to you!

Oh my goodness! This is fabulous, and Cindy is right--it's a work of art! I had no idea this was created with dies--it must be overwhelming, but I can't imagine anything better than what you've created! Happy New Year!

I had to look this product up. I can see how it would be a bit overwhelming but you nailed it. Love that you added interest with the designer paper.

This is such a cool card Carol...love it! I thought it was all done with stamps, so was surprised to hear it's all dies. But that's what Tim does best, isn't it?!! I get overwhelmed with his products too at first, but the panic dies down after I've had a chance to work with it. (Walter was a good example with being overwhelmed too when I first got him, but his stinkin' cuteness made me persevere! Haha!!) Anyway, you card is gorgeous my friend and highlights my challenge colors beautifully! Happy New Year. Hugs. :0)

Your card looks FABulous, Carol! Those papers work so well with the die cut design and it definitely looks like you conquered the tiny bits and created a mini masterpiece! I love your layout! Happy New Year!
