Hello...Inskspirational Challenge #104~Pink & Grey, MUSE Challenge #156

Hello,

March is certainly marching along at a quick pace; two weeks ago I was inviting you to join  a geometric challenge (a gallery of ah-mazing geometric gems, I might add! Thank you for bringing your squares, diamonds, rhombuses and trapezoids out to play!!) and, in a blink, I'm back to welcome you to Inkspirational Challenge #104~

We're so fortunate to have wonderfully talented and, I'm delighted to add, fellow Canadian (cool, eh?) Susan from sunny-rainy British Columbia, joining us as our Guest Designer.  The CAS card she's crafted for us is pink-and-grey charming!  Please leave her, and the rest of my teammates - SandiePiaMarinaShaunaKim and Nonni - some love, as once again, their inspirations are simply fantastic!

Today, two cards to share, drawing ideas from MUSE Challenge #156, where charming Michele has this delight to spark our design-dendrites

along with an array of *more than one card to inspire us* here.  The first card I teased out, based on this one by Michele,

features my 'pretend' water-colouring with stamps (thank heavens for those!), in pink and grey, along with a W&W Hello die and three sparky gems - in black, pink and clear - that, in real life, do add a nice little touch...

Shadows...ugghh! Alas, I have no place to take photos where natural light is available (we  live in an odd little townhouse structure, I tell you, with windows in the front and patio doors in the back - that's all - , and no proper sills or room to arrange furniture to catch the light we do have...), so..making do as best I can.

My second card is a total case of Michele's Muse muse...I figure when you see something as pretty as the one she created, no point in messing with it!  A change of colour, a trio of little hearts and...ta dahhh.  Liking it lots!

Turning the challenge over to you right. this. second.  Bring out your pinks and greys and....See you in the gallery!

Daylight Savings begins for us tomorrow...one less hour to craft...Let's not talk about that *grin*

Thank you for spending part of your day with me; your visit brings me immense joy!

What beautiful cards Carol! I do love the faux watercolor stripes and believe I might have these very same stamps, so will have to CAS your beautiful card. I love these techniques, they are so fun! I also fell in love with Michele's card and you have CASed it beautifully!! You still changed it up and gave it your own touches and I love yours as much as I love Michele's. Hugs, Brenda

Fantastic cards, Carol! Those watercolor stripes are very cool and I can just tell that the enamel dots add just the right amount of something something! Drat lighting issues, but really, I think your photo is fine. It definitely shows how pretty your card is! :) Your second card is lovely and makes me smile. I like that you cased it, so I know I am not alone in casing cards and I like the bits you've changed to make it your own. Just lovely!! Thanks so much for sharing and inspiring. :) Have a beautiful day.

Love this color combo and your two lovely cards! Stripes always make me happy and the "watercolored" ones on the first are awesome. And the softly sponged roses with the sweet hearts on the second one make me swoon!

Great cards - never fails to go with stripes - especially in pink and grey - such a winning color combo! And your last card is also fabulous - those roses are just so pretty! Makes me wonder why I don't have that stencil.....
as for photographing cards - make yourself a light box. This makes such a difference and is really cheap. You can checkout my post here: http://fun-stamping.blogspot.com/2014/01/photographing-cards.html

Carol - they're all fantastic!! The stripes are so fun and the flower one is very pretty!! That design would also be perfect for some masculine cards. Have a great week :)

What a shame I didn't put some grey on my Muse card!! Totally agree with CASEing Michele's card, I thought it was awesome so ours look very similar indeed! Love your pink and grey 'painted' card too, thats such a cool idea with the brush stroke stamps. Might have to CASE that one myself.........

Your pretend watercolor striped are wonderful, Carol, and that stacked word die is clearly visible. The rose stencil is perfect in pink and I love the addition of little gray hearts.

I thought I commented on this post a while ago, but perhaps it was eaten by blogger for lunch. Your pink and grey stripes are wonderful, and I love your camouflaged die cut sentiment. Your second is just as wonderful as the original you cased. I really love all that pink.

Love your striped camo card! Pink and gray - how lovely. As for photos... don't know if you ever saw my note back when... try Photoscape for photo editing. It's free.
