Fortunately, because we weren't heading to visit my in-laws for a week, I had time re-create one for my mother-in-law, and in the wild scramble to complete various cards before packing our bags to head west this time, designing one for her was a priority. Despite claiming this card "a wrap" on Tuesday, here I am, once again, posting just under the wire. Clock's ticking...
The common elements for each of the first three cards - butterfly, flower, heart - were *must haves* in the design, but beyond that, I was open to 'suggestion,' or rather, inspiration. And inspiration came, with the layout from Unscripted Sketches #210
and the bold colours of The Paper Players #145:
Here's my card, and fingers crossed that she'll like it....
Thanks for dropping in; your comments are welcome and appreciated, deeply.
Have a wonderful weekend (it's a long one for us,with more traveling hither and yon...)

I'm pretty sure Grammy will love this. Love your frame, and how you've die cut right into it. Have a super fun weekend and will reconnect next week. bkb
What pretty patterns on all of these elements. And I love the swirls. Thanks for joining us at the Paper Players this week!
Of course she will like it, Carol! She will LOVE it!! Be safe on all your travels!!
Oh, I think - no, I KNOW she's absolutely going to love it!! I just love how you created the frame, and I think I love even more how you used the negative and the positive of the die cut. Sweet, perfectly balanced colour choices too. This will win daughter-in-law points for sure ;)
Such fun paper! I particularly love the positive and negative flourishes!
I love all your paper piecing! Great job! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving me your sweet comments! Kendra
Oh my goodness, Carol! This is just wonderful--great use of the colors & sketch & the negative flourish--wow!
First off, loving the absolute precise placement of your white mat on to the polka dot paper. Could it be my OCD tendencies that noticed this right off the hop? Awesome job!
Then, the negative die cut totally had me in awe of your clever idea! Tucking the positive up at the top creates complete balance in your design. Stunning color combo as well.
My goodness girlie, considering the few short whiles that you have been crafting really makes me excited to see what creative treats the future will bring!
OHHHH! I LOVE that negative die cut for the panel!!!!!!!! FAB!!! I love those papers too!! What a beautiful card! That's awesome that you are getting card request!!! I'm sure your SIL's Grammy will love her card:)
