I felt a glittery-moment the other day, so I brought out a pretty Memory Box stencil and fancied it up with Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel. Gold sparkle paper worked wonderfully with my Photoplay Joy. Simple to make...and sooo sparkly!

HLS December 2021 Christmas Challenge~Anything Goes (optional: Toys)...Made By Elves Trifold Mini Pocket Album

Welcome to Happy Little Stampers December 2021 Christmas Challenge, where Anything Goes is always the theme, with the choice of an option which, this month, is TOYS. FUN!!

I've recently become somewhat intrigued by various mini albums/folios that I see popping up here and there, so I tried my hand at one, following this tutorial at Polly's Paper Studio. In a nutshell, papers are cut/assembled to create a booklet: a cover, an 'inside' of three pocket and mini card pages, a 'back' pocket and mini card page and the overall back cover. I know: that makes no sense, so I'll let the tutorial and my photos do the explaining. 

I used Craft Consortium's awesome Made By Elves collection for my album; the hardest part was making the decision to actually cut into these lovely, sweet pages! I used an Elizabeth Craft Designs pocket die, which was easier than trying to make the one shown in the video (adaptations, right).

Each pocket features a mini card with a front image and three patterned images.

WHEW!  Lots of photos! I have more of these in the works, simply 'because'! Fun and easy to make, really! While they can be used as photo albums (small pictures on the mini cards), I think they make for a 'dressed up' Christmas card!

Color Hues Challenge #31~Red and Green...Advent Calendar Tags

And here we are: December already! Where has the time gone! 

Welcome to Color Hues Challenge #31, where Cindy, our fabulous hostess, has chosen hues of Red & Green for us to play with until December 29th! Lots of time to join in!

  

I made an Advent Tags calendar! All 24 of the tags are the same size (sorry the photos may not reflect that) and feature an assortment of die-cut numbers, along with bits-and bobs of scrap paper, stickers, die-cuts, ephemera...whatever I had that was red and green (plus neutrals). The tags are attached, with a wee bit of magnetic tape, to the backside of 2.5" tins I found at Michaels. Once they're detached from the tins, I can get the tins back (because this calendar will go to either my niece or nephew - I've made a second calendar that I'll share soon) to reuse them for another event. Yes, this took a fair amount of time to make but what a great way to set my Christmas spirit soaring!  The absolute best-est-est part of this calendar was giving it to my niece in person, when she and my brother visited on Sunday on their way home from her ringette tournament.

STAMPlorations December 2021 CAS Cards Challenge~Anything Goes (optional twist: Metallic + 1 other colour)...For the Love of All Things Merry and Bright Ornaments

Welcome to STAMPlorations December 2021 CAS Card Challenge, where Anything Goes is always the theme, with an optional twist that, this month, is Metallic + 1 Other Colour. 

I actually used the twist this time! Yayyy! My tree ornaments - Christmas Baubles #1 Layering Die, Christmas Baubles #2 Layering Die - are cut from lovely shimmery silver cardstock (Sizzix) and paired with paper from Craft Consortium's Ink Drops *Vivid* collection. One of my favourite sentiments from one of my all-time favourite STAMP sets - Warm Hands, Warm Heart - finishes it off. Simple to make...and I may well do that as the card-making rush looms closer!

Inkspirational Challenge #252~Designers' Choice...Plaid Sleigh Treat/Gift Box

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #252, where Marlene and Pia have teamed up in selecting PLAID as their Designers' Choice. Makes me think of things warm and cozy...

Making a debut for this challenge is my new Sleigh Treat Box die and I just happened to find a lovely piece of P13 plaid paper to pair with it. The bow and runners are sheeny silver cardstock. This took, literally, under 5 minutes to put together and is roomy enough for small gifts (as you see here) or quite a few chocolates, if you prefer! Place-table settings, home decor, gift container (tealight candles just popped into my mind)...all kinds of possibilities with this easy-to-use die.

Just Us Girls Challenge #612~Photo Week...Kraft Snowflake Just for You Mini Shopping Bag

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #612, where our lovely Lisa has selected this wonderful festive photo as inspiration for the ENTIRE month of December! Yes, you read that right! The design team is taking time off over the holidays, returning with a fresh slate of inspiration and challenges on New Year's Day  2022.  Play along with us this week and then, for sure, come back on Jan. 1st!
