Lunchbox Notes... The Paper Players Challenge #408~Lunch Box Love Notes, Freshly Made Sketches #353

Guess what...I'm playing in a challenge (finally!!) 'just because'...and what a fabulous sense of joy in doing so! Although, I am rather rusty. Need to get back into 'branching out'. Working on it.

Anyway...

The Paper Players Challenge #408~Lunch Box Love Notes is such a wonderful idea for this time of year and made even more compelling as my niece and nephew headed back to school this week.  How could Aunty c 'not' make some little somethings for them (again *grin*)

My designs were also inspired by Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #353 (adapted: my sentiments aren't on separate strips/banners)

These truly are 'wee' notes, standing about 3 X 3 inches square.  I used a smattering of patterned papers (from my very-much dwindled collection), along with images from Mama Elephant Mini Ninjas and Simon Says Stamps Doodled Fingerprints.  So. Much. Fun!  I'll be seeing the kiddos the week of Sept. 17th (fingers crossed)...these will be in my travel bag!

I have ideas for more notes on the smaller-and-square side...how about you?

My card speaks to the theme in a general way...celebrate every.single.day! Another one of my recently acquired Visible Image sets; isn't that girl, jumping for joy, absolutely fabulous? She reminds me of my effervescent niece. The sentiment: yes!

I can't believe that August is coming to a close; I especially can't believe that the start of a new school year is on the horizon! Not for me, though...one of the perks of being a retired teacher *grin*

Speaking of school...Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #455, where our wonderful Vicki is inspiring us with a school-themed photo. While yours truly is not heading back into the classroom, two little loves-of-my-life are: my niece and nephew, into Grades 3 and 1, respectively.  This growing up stuff is happening way toooo fast!

I decided to make bookmarks for them...and added a snippet of whimsy (or so I hope), in having the books rather precariously stacked, yet capable of balancing a vase of flowers. Just plain old fun...

Because my stamps arrived pretty much 'last minute', I decided to keep intros short-and-sweet, saving up my card palooza for the release.  The little number I've created is one easily created at a moment's notice; the sentiments do allllll the work!
