Just Us Girls Challenge #815 - MOODBOARD Week - Best Wishes Florals (AALL and CREATE Layering Washi)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #815 where, as hostess, I've selected a 'beautiful flowers painted on rocks' photo as our Mood Board inspiration this week. Wouldn't those make for stunning garden decor!  Florals, bright colours on dark backgrounds, shapes, artsy style: what will catch your eye?

We're delighted to have Milla joining us once again as our March Guest Designer.

My focus of bright florals against a black background meant I could debut a new-to-me product: Layer It Up Washi Tape from AALL & Create (also a new-to-me company). Simply line up four strips of the washi and watch the beautiful florals and butterflies image emerge. Of course, the washi can be used as 'simple' strips but isn't the effect of layering it wonderful?  I feel like such an artist! LOL! I have a couple rolls of this tape with different patterns; looking forward to spending time crafting with them.

Please head over to the main blog to see fabulous inspiration from Milla and my talented design team.
Hopefully, we'll see a gallery filled with mood board inspired creations.

Thank you for dropping by!

Those painted rocks are gorgeous, Carol. Great inspiration (although i would be hesitant to let Mother Nature mess with them). Blown away by the use of washi tape to make your beautiful card. So creative! Have a happy day my friend!

Carol... bought some of the layering washi last night...couldn't resist! You should try their stamps and ephemera... really cute and fun to use.

What a cool product! I have never heard of it before, but your beautiful results make it really intriguing! Gorgeous colors and images on the black...wow! A super nice card for someone special!

The layered washi creates such a striking flow of florals and butterflies, and the way the colors glow against the black background gives the whole piece a polished, painterly feel. The alignment of the strips is seamless, letting the full image shine, and the bold mood board inspiration comes through beautifully.

I have a TON of Washi Tapes but have not seen this fun kind that strips match up to create a scene how fun and what a beautiful collage look to this! Julia xx

I've never seen anything like this layered washi tape, Carol, and I can't imagine trying to line it up but you did a wonderful job making that beautiful bouquet come to life.
