Hello,
Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #573, where our lovely Sue invites us to bring the vibrant, dancing colours of Aurora Borealis/Northern Lights to our cards/projects this week. Shimmering purples, blues, greens...this masterpiece of Nature is a sight to behold. I've been fortunate to see them many times during our trips to my grandparents' home in norther Alberta and oh....they are magical, mystical and dazzling.
We bid a big thank you to Leslie Turner, our February guest designer. Leslie, your cards this month have been amazing. Hopefully, you'll continue to join us in the gallery. Your finale is sensational, as are those of my teammates.
My Northern Lights kind of 'missed the mark', so to speak, in that I don't have the knack to improvise those amazing swooshes of colour we see in the photo. That, paired with no silhouette tree/forest stamps/stencils, meant seeking a different entry point. Result is below...a sort-of Aurora Borealis sky (Black Soot...I have a tough time with that ink) background for an assortment of adorable images from MFT's Sky High set. Those bunnies and bears...ohmystars!
That's it from me; looking forward to seeing your Rainbow Colours creations in the gallery.

Oh I think you did an excellent job! How lucky for you to have seen the Aurora Borealis in person. I imagine like most natural phenomenon, they come in different ways. I can imagine that you are sharing the very beginning of the show or the ending of it. :) Your colors are wonderful and I like that these critters are getting tuckered out after all the excitement!! Thanks for sharing your creative talents! Crafty hugs!
Super adorable! Great use of the "lights" for your awesome background
Excuse me, your Northern Lights background is beautiful! And perfect for your sweet airborne critters. What a wonderful card!
Your background is stunning and absolutely captures the essence of the photo! I love all of your adorable little critters and great choice for floating around on that sky.
Your card is adorable with all those little critters, Carol. The background works well for a many colored night sky that they can float through.
Total cuteness, and the background looks great.
This card is just too stinking adorable and I love that beautiful sky you inked up!!
