Love You Fox...Tag, You're It Challenge #59~Rubeena Naz

Hello!

Welcome to Tag, You're It Challenge #59, where we - and in turn, you, our fabulous design supporters - are drawing inspiration from this beautiful tag created by the impressive creative (and newly married!) Rubeena Naz.

Guest Featured Designer

No way would I be able to create a water-colour, scrumptious beauty like Rubeena's, so I went in my own direction, focusing on her elements of placement, colours and a second sparkle tag.  Here's my version...another chance to play with the sweet Stylized Autumn fox created by Kay Miller.

As you can imagine, the plethora of Halloween tags I made for my niece and nephew meant that they've been very much on my mind (as they always are!).  As I was creating this, I had wonderful memories guiding me...

Back when Ms T was just shy of three (she's six now), she sooooooo wanted to learn to write her letters, which I must say, she mastered rather quickly (yes, I'm biased, but not in this case! She was a studious little student).  I'd write the letters and she'd copy underneath. Of course, she often wound up with a gigantic B, or a teensy, backwards S, or in a masterful piece of art, a stylized version of her name where the 'roof' of the letter T was shelter for the remaining letters of her name.  It wasn't long before I decided that she was ready to copy sentences and this is the one we started with:  The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dogs.  All the letters of the alphabet are here, I told her, and so after she'd written it, we'd go for a search, just to be sure Aunty c wasn't spoofing her!  It's still our favourite; only now, the sentence's letters are of (more or less) uniform size, with a capital at the beginning and period at the end.  I'm excited she's growing up, but oh, how I miss those wonderful moments with my 'little' girl....

Anyway, the tag's going to her, with 'our' special sentence written on the back....

Enough of my Aunty ramblings...

Please check out what the rest of the team have created:

Loved reading your story about Miss T! It's amazing how those little ones try and try, and as you watch them, the little light goes on and their whole sweet face lights up with a sense of accomplishment. You've rekindled some memories for me....The letter "M" = up, down, up down. And so they grow... Your tag is adorable, and a sweet take on Rubeena's. That fox is adorable, and I'm loving those branches. Oh!, and the sparkly back-tag. Just wonderful! xo Bev

Your sweet story about you and your niece is so special, Carol. I thank you for sharing it. The bond you share is evident and strong! Your tag is delightful. Kay did a great job on that stamp set, didn't she? I really like the colors you chose and the placement of the elements. Personally, I think you color better than you say you do and you could have pulled it off. :) Have a wonderful weekend!! Hugs!

What a sweet tag and an even sweeter story, Carol! It made me tear up remembering when the twins were wee tykes and how wonderfully spongy they were about learning! Even though they are growing up too fast, you can take solace from the fact that you have given them so many warm and wonderful memories to carry with them always!! Hugs, Darnell

Well, where did October go? I haven't been to visit you once in the whole month! And look at all that gorgeousness I've missed - but now caught up on ;). From your halloween tags, to your STAMPlorations debut, to your lovely pink leaf hearts, and now this cute fox tag, they're all fab. Loved your story of Miss T's early writing. Reminded me of one of mine, who would write the initial S in the right direction, but would then carry on in the direction of the flow and write every subsequent letter of his name mirrored! I was going to promise not to leave it a whole month before my next visit, but I'll be away for some of it anyway!
