As I mentioned in my previous post: I'm being blog oinky once again! Fourth post!
A special celebration is happening in our fabulous community: City Crafters' Challenge Blog~CASE ME IF YOU CAN 6th Birthday Challenge.
Hooray!!!
To mark this milestone, we've been invited to CASE any one - or all four - of the DT cards, so...I plunged right in and have two cased cards to share.
My first draws inspiration from this striking striped + sentiment + heart number, aka Case #1:
My connections: the stripes, the umbrella standing in for the wee heart on the original (I had my supplies out and decided to make a couple rainbow umbrellas, as you can see in my previous post) and a simple sentiment. Hopefully, I didn't stretch the interpretation tooooo far, but here's the scoop: without this card to spark ideas, my card would not have happened. I added my own twists, but kept the essential elements...
My second card was prompted by delicate, pretty Case #3:
The inked background, the text stamp, wee pearls, a bold sentiment and one big ol' scribbly circle as my focal point: those are my 'take-aways'. If I had leaf or die fronds, trust me, they'd make an appearance, but I don't. That's why I went with the circles, that sort of 'extend' into the white space in a fashion similar to the Case card (and that's my story and I'm sticking with it). Again, my card showcases some of the key elements found in the original...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CCCB...
Wishing you and your amazing DT many, many more years of fabulous, inspiring challenges!
Your site is a most inviting, welcoming, fun place to play!

Fabulous cards! You have a great eye for design, Ms. Carol! I adore the rainbow of colors on your first card. So very pretty! And the interpretation on the second one is lovely as well. It's always so interesting how one can be inspired by others' cards. Thanks for sharing! Have a great week! Hugs.
Love seeing how you were inspired...these are awesome!
I'm with Amy; I love seeing how you were inspired by the CASE cards. Nice to see how other brains work!! And both of these are very cool. Love the rainbow stripes and the sweet umbrella on your first card. Your scribbly circle with that soft background is a knock-out. Two wonderful cards, my friend! Any bike races this summer near me?!! Hope so!! Bev

Wow - both fantastic, Carol. I love what you did with the stripes and rainbow colors. And that inked bottom half of the panel on the second card is so gorgeous as a design element.
Lovely cards, Carol! Great idea to do lines of the same colors behind the umbrella!
Carol....these are amazing! The umbrella card is absolutely gorgeous! Love the blending on your pretty in card! If the umbrella is from poppy stamps that would fit the challenge they have right now .....
You have been busy, Carol! I've just been browsing, admiring your beautiful rainbow brollies, watercolouring (go girl!) swirls, and dragonfly tag (hoping to play along). A veritable feast for the eyes :)
Carol...these are all so wonderful. But I have to say I am in love with your rainbow umbrella card, so amazing! You should enter this in the current challenge over at The Challenge, it's all about rainbows!
Totally fair on your 1st CASE here. I am in love with your second. That dark pink print at the bottom is the bomb! The 'thanks' script also matches the scribbly flower die exactly. Well done!
Another gorgeous rainbow brolly, Carol ... fabulous with the rainbow stripes! I do love those scribble circles ... so crisp and fresh against the softly sponged background! Hugs, Anita :)
These cards are beautiful! Your use of color is subtle and lovely! Fantastic technique!
