I'm back, evidently making up for the near-silence of last week! Two cards to share this go-round, inspired by Joan's pretty - and last - card over at Muse Challenge #145. Joan, you'll be missed here!
Here's her card...
and here are my translations. If you saw my previous post, I had a 'thing' going on today with my snowflakes embossing folder (at least my nearly done-in cuttlebug still manages to emboss reasonably well. We won't talk about how its faring with die-cutting...s a whole lot of cranking forward and back, forward and back happening...and even then, few cuts are fully successful. I've resorted to using a metal shim and cardstock along with the plates! Myight bicep will be looking like Popeye's, if these keeps up. Hello, Santa...I'm trying to be good..ish...). Anyway...
Both cards draw inspiration from Joan's textured panel, circle and wreath elements, and pink/green combination with a snippet of black.
A piece of transparency over the window gives the Noel some stability...
Here, peace is stacked three die-cuts high...
Joan, thank you for this inspiration card and for all those in previous Muse Challenges. Wishing you wonderful journeys wherever you're headed next. Good thing we know where to find you...
Thank you for dropping by and spending some time with me today!

Wow - two beauties! Keep them coming, Carol!
You made three fabulous cards with that snowflake embossing folder! These two are a wonderful take on the Muse!
I think that you definitely deserve a new die cutting machine and that's what I will tell Santa when I run into him!
Two very pretty cards! I love the embossed background with the pink, green & white. So lovely!
Two great and gorgeous cards! Love the embossed background pattern! I feel your pain with your die cut machine. I had to get a new Big Shot several months ago.
Oh my--the Muse card is a stunner & so are yours! These are some of my favorite cards, Carol!
Wonderful cards, Carol! I love your colors and the embossing is just wow!

I know that I said I likely won't be around for a visit until after Christmas...but a slow morning at work...
Sweet as ever! So in love with these non-traditional colors!!! Gorgeous embossed background. Nice change-up with the different sentiments and placement of same!
You have just inspired my next year's Christmas color scheme! Wonder how hard it will be to find pink & green wrapping paper!!!
Hi Carol! Just haul off and buy a new Cuttlebug or the like TODAY. For a card maker, it's like not having an arm! These cards are both so gorgeous - and yes - the color scheme is lovely for Christmas. so soft. It was 73 degrees here yesterday which is bizarre. I hope it's more Christmas-like up there for your holiday season!
Your pink and green are so pretty! Great card!

I love both of these cards; you've captured elements of Joan's Muse card and given them a bit of a twist to make the cards your own.
