Yesterday, when I should have been working on my online card class assignments, I found myself in a slump...gloomy, cold weather, rain...just all around 'blech.' Not much happened, and then a 'ping'...and something of 'note' emerged...Happy me!
Two cards - a biggie and a mini - inspired by CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #134, where I'm playing for the first time, which is wonderful, but it's the last challenge of the year, which isn't wonderful. "Fearless Leader" Michele promises to be back with new challenges in 2015, and she does have a DT call out, so I'll be waiting, with anticipation, to see what she has in store, both challenge and product-wise.
The premise of the challenge is Tic-Tac-Toe
Here's my A2 sized card, featuring Column 1's chevrons, dots (yayy for that double-duty embossing folder) and houndstooth (I can't believe I have a houndstooth stamp! Score on NBUS!), and now that I'm looking, it also fits Row 2's houndstooth, white and embossed elements. And maybe even Row 1...okay, okay. I'll stop pushing the boundaries.
Apologies for lighting...see my earlier weather-whine.
Freshly Made Sketches #150 inspired the layout, so I'm waltzing this card over...
Mini card next, which tic-tac-toes on the center column. In real life, it's cute - just a little love 'note'...
Okay, back to homework...or more than likely to 'other' challenge distractions. So many good ones. Whoa, I have an eye-appointment today. Good thing I looked at the calendar...yeesh!
ETA: I'm also entering my card at Catered Crop: Music Expressions. Thank you, Kim!! Check out these images on the inspiration board...WOW!
Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments make my day

Whatever you create has class!! These are FABULOUS...but I do like black and white.....and I like CAS....I like allsorts. These really are super and I like the shape of the mini one with the stitch emboss. Is that a die? Those chevrons look great on the other card, two great cards once more.
Adore these!! Any music teacher or student would love to receive these. Especially adore the first one with the the layered heart and embossed chevrons. Fabulous times two :) Sorry to hear about the rain and cold...I'm sucking the life out of our stunning summer this year and NOT looking forward to the rain beginning AT ALL as we have been so spoilled with oodles of sunshine this summer. But alas, that is why we have so much glorious green all year round :)
Oh my goodness...both of your cards are fabulous. You have an amazing way with shaped cards, just wish you lived a bit closer to give me a lesson! And your music notes, just perfect my sweet friend.

And thanks so much for taking time to visit my blog and leaving kind words on my guest designer post at Kraftzone. Much appreciated.
Oh my Carol, I am loving both of your cards! One the first one I love the houndstooth stamped note with the heart at the end! So cute!! The the embossed dotted chevrons too, that is an awesome embossing folder and of course the sentiment you used is just perfect. You tiny card is simply adorable and I love, love the sentiment on that one as well as the heart music note. Our weather must be mirror each other because we have had a dreary day here too, but not much rain. All round us got the rain, but we didn't get much. That's ok because the grass is really growing. lol I need to mow again. I hope your eye appointment went great! Hugs, Brenda
Your cards make my heart happy! Gorgeous, creative, simple and totally C! LOVE!!!! Hope your appointment went well too. hugs!
Um ... wow ... Carol, these are both fabulous! The mini, soft hued pink and grey delight is so sweet ... and your houndstooth treble clef with the embossed dotty background (one of my fave EFs) is a real stunner! Yay for pings! Hugs, Anita :)
