Framed Valentine...MUSE #52

Dashing in  to share a second, or rather, third card today; one that came about as a result of some serious thinking while walking briskly (freezing outside..what was I thinking!) up to the Nordic Centre to meet up with my husband, who was wrapping up the cadets' biathlon competition. Hoofing along, and trying to distract myself from numb hands, a runny nose, and the realization that I was 'quite' the sight, all rosy-cheeked and huffy-puffy, I entered into the zen of card-making, contemplating which challenge would work with yet another Valentine-for-a-teacher creation.  Before I knew it, I'd arrived at my destination, and a ping had ponged (love how Bev has made these the all encompassing words for 'idea sparked').  Once home, I set to work.

My inspiration: the gorgeous card over at Muse #52, created by the supremely talented, Marion Vagg,

Another card for one of my niece or nephew's day care teachers...a la the style of the 'little-ish' envelopes...

The envelope has a sweet scalloped closing at the back, and the size - about 3 1/4 x 4 and a pinch - is just right for a treat....chocolate-y treat...

Thanks so much for stopping  by; your visit and comments make my day! (and an extra zillion thank yous for indulging me in the Valentine-a-thlon! Your sweet comments on my kid-themed creations are soooo appreciated!!).

NOTE: So thrilled to be selected for an Honourable Mention over at MUSE. THANK  YOU to all who voted for me!

Can you send some of those pings and pongs my way?!!! Just love this one too, Carol. Full of pure sweetness and Valentine goodness! The paper is perfect (how do you always choose perfectly every time?!!) and the design is just plain fun! The kids and teachers have no idea what a treat they are in for come February 14!!!

...so if I go for a walk in freezing cold temperatures, will I be able to create amazing stuff like you do?

This is awesome! The little arrow DP is so cute - great colors! But your layered heart absolutely steals the show here! Stamping part of the sentiment in the same color as the "XO XO XO" .... genius!!!

If it wasn't 11:29pm, I would be suiting up in my down filled parka and sorrel boots to take a cruise around the block....waiting for pings to pong! But it is late and really cold, so the pings will have to wait!

Brrrr! Will send our heat wave over to you. Although walking in the freezing cold...well, it sure inspired you! What a great ping! I want to ping! :) Hope you are staying well in this weather. I just love your card. Such a great take on the card - the patterned paper is gorgeous and I love that you can fit in a little treat too. I never ever think to do things like that with my cards but really, what a great idea!

Cold here too. : ( Spring is coming, though I'm not sure what year that will be. This is a sweet take on the Muse. And I'm so glad that your pings are ponging! And boy, are they ever working for you! This is a wonderful card. Totally love the scalloped edge on your frame, and am fully enamored of the stack o' hearts. Great card Carol, seriously great! Bev

Glad you were able to thaw out before you went to work on your creation!!! You need to not walk in the freezing cold!!! I couldn't imagine!! I still can't believe I lived up north for 22 years-- how did I do it?!?! I get cold if it's below 85*!!!!!!! LOL!

I bet your hubs enjoyed seeing you:) That was sweet of you to visit him!

LOOOOOOOOVE this card-- and I LOVE that you were thinking about this instead of the cold weather! I might have to try that while driving (the snowbirds down here drive me crazy! They don't know how to drive!)! However, I might drive off the road if I'm thinking too hard... so maybe I shouldn't:)

LOOOOOOVE those papers and how you used a line of hearts instead of chevrons! FAB take on this inspiration!!! YOU ROCK, Carol!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE visiting your blog <3

CONGRATULATIONS!! A very well deserved HM you received there!! :) This is an adorable little card - you're really on a roll lately!!

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who ends up in a red-faced snotty mess after a brisk walk in the cold! I hope you've warmed up and have remained that way! :)
