Then again, these cards are 'little' dabblings that are 'just because' so they're kind of suited to share space...
First is my entry for CAS-ual Fridays' #105 MapQuest challenge. The car is from TAWS Priceless Joy set - I've always had a fondness for the 'concept' of flowered volkswagons, so I made one - the notebook die from PS, and the banner/sentiment from My Creative Time.
This is quite the 'simple' card, where again, the white space seems so empty (hmmmm, perhaps it's all about where the white space is that bugs me - need to do more research. Rainy day + scoping out other folks awesome cards - sounds like a plan!) but I"m trying to follow the purpose and goals of the CAS-ual Fridays challenges "CAS-ual Fridays was created to be a fun and inspiration weekly challenge for both those who love Clean and Simple design, and those who want to get better at it." Check-mark on being inspired; check-mark on having fun and "good effort" at wanting to get better at it...because I really do.
Second card is a 4 X 4 note card based on the colours of The Alley Way Stamps BE Inspired #30 challenge:
Yummy...and pretty...
Small card for just a note. The temptation to create 'little cards'' with some "make tags" has been sneaking in, of late. May have to give that some play in a couple challenges calling to me. This is a start...
Thanks so much for dropping in; please let me know you did! Your comments are always welcome; always appreciated!
Have a wonderful Thursday!

Sorry about your rain. It's a beautiful sunny day here, and I'm headed out to the flower beds in a bit. Great cards again Carol. That little car is darn cute, and I love that you've used dp for it. Such happy cards! Stay dry. Bev
Your cards are super cute! The paper piecing on the card is adorable! I like the die-cuts, too. Thanks for joining us at CAS-ual Fridays!
You are being way too calm about your mini-lakes, it's a state of emergency! I can't believe you can get anything done or go anywhere with the downpours!! But that little flowered car and that cheerful balloon had to have helped the outlook!!
The sweet wee 'weather balloon' is sure to be bringing news of sunny skies that will soon have you 'on the road again' .....
It's great to know that you can 'escape' to your happy crafty place in an attempt to keep calm! It must be working, because your cards are fabulous and are both sporting some might fine DP! Love how you added a different pattern behind the top of the notebook die! I admire your attention to detail!
Stay safe!
I just heard the same thing as Kim on the news! State of emergency!!! Hope everything is okay over there - I'm thinking of you! Your cards do bring sunshine though! A lot of it! I love how you put pattern behind the hole punches on the first one, and that car - makes me smile everytime - ADORABLE!! Second one, perfect stamp choice for the challenge photo! I have been struggling with the TAWS challenges for a while now! Don't know why...??!!! But you nail them everytime!
And btw, I think we are twins separated at birth...return note coming soon ;)
Both cards are super-cute! I love the little red wheels and the embossed clouds. Great elements!
These are both cute! I love that little balloon!
These are adorable! I LOVE the paper pieced car - I want to own one! Thanks for joining the TAWS BE Inspired challenge!

So adorable, Carol! And clever and well-executed!! I see you haven't posted since Thursday and that's concerning! The news is terrible for that part of Canada and I pray you and your family are all safe. Miserable unpredictable odd-ball weather everywhere any more. It's dreadful for so many people. Let us know how you are when you can! xxoo Darnell
Hi Carol, I've been thinking about you seeing the horrible flooding near you, I think. Your cards are darling, as always! I really love the first one & looks great for CAS to me!
OH MY! I love these cards-- I love love love that first one! Not only do you have fun papers but you have paper behind the notebook die as an extra detail! LOOOOOOOOOVE it! And that little car is too cute!
LOVE that second card too-- I love the arrow papers as the background! It really looks like a cloud or sky design... but with arrows! FAB job on design!!
What a fabulous post of inspiration!
