Sunny Floral Hello....Muse #108, Cure for the Monday Blues #46~Rise & Shine, STAMPlorations Flash Stencil Linky Party, Little Tangles #54~Anything Goes

Hello, my friends!

I hope you've all had a fabulous day, and that you've moving into a most enjoyable evening. I've been on my ownsome this week (my husband is at Biathlon Nationals, returning tomorrow) so I spent part of the day cleaning, part crafting and part afternoon-visiting some of my teacher friends at our guidance counselor's gorgeous home.  I'm rather 'socially inept', often preferring to stay home (family visits and bike races, though are all good...), because I'm quite introverted (yes, hard to believe based on my babbly blogs!) and awkward at gatherings. I'm soooo glad I put on my big girl pants and headed over, because I had such a delightful time!  Looking back, I've waved off so many social events, but with this one under my belt, who knows...Maybe I'll venture out - with my husband on my arm - to staff functions more often.

Right now, I'm cosy inside, watching the trees outside our patio doors being buffeted around by the wind. Yep...we're under a 'wind warning'.  I may be in Kansas by this time tomorrow...

Anyway, enough rambling!

You've likely seen Muse #108's stunning, classy, sunshiny card created by our incredibly talented, sweetheart of sweethearts, Michele Ferguson. Yellow, black, grey, a field of  ranunculi, with one spot-light coloured...sheer beauty.  Sighhh...See what I mean...gorgeous!

Inspired thusly, here's my take on Michele's card...yellows, a whisper of grey, some black...and the debut of my new STAMPlorations Bold Florals, paired with a W&W cutaway.

I nudged my panel over to the right edge, just to be daring *grin* and as a nod to Michele's perfect panel placement.

Hope I did your card proud, dear friend! I sure LOVE x LOVE yours!

I'm entering this spring-y little creation into:

Cure for the Monday Blues #465~ Rise and Shine

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!
Hugs,

Oh my, Carol! This is gorgeous. First, though, congratulations on venturing out a little of your comfort zone and finding yourself having a nice time. That's awesome! Sounds like you've had a good time of it all around. Now that card. As I said, it is gorgeous. I don't often think of yellow with gray, but when I see it, it always looks lovely. I really like the softness you've created. It's very soothing and smile inducing. Thanks for sharing! If the wind is going to carry you away, veer a little more to the east toward Colorado, okay? :)

OH your card is so lovely and springy and yellow and oh my! Yes I really like it! Love the panel nudged over for visual interest!! Brilliant work! :) I am very much an introvert too ( extremely) I would much rather stay home alone doing my own thing, but am very outgoing when I do get around people. I just can't do it for very long before I have to get off by myself somewhere! heheh!! So glad you had a good time :) (Hugs) Happy week!

Your card brought a little sunshine into our house (we are in the midst of another snowstorm) - thank you so much for it! It's so lovely!
I would have never thought that you are an introvert because, yes, you do seem very bubbly writing your blog! I am a borderline introvert and often prefer to stay home than go out and socialize. I did drag myself out last night to meet friends and enjoyed myself a lot. It's just the getting out the door...

This is a beautiful take on Michele's card Carol. I love that stamp set you used and I always love black, grey and yellow together. I'm glad you went and had a good time at the staff event. It's always good to have some fun once in a while. And while I am a homebody too, I always enjoy meeting up with the retirees for breakfast from time to time and with the retired teachers to make cards. Let the wind blow you to Gettysburg, PA, I will pick you up and bring you to my house. Hugs, Brenda

Well good evening Carol. Funny, your husband was at Biathlon Nationals, and my husband was at Nike Indoor Nationals (HS track). Sounds like you work in a school, and so do I. I enjoyed reading your musings of the day. Your stenciled card is gorgeous and a great take on the Muse and the CFTMB inspiration. I love the grey in the leaves. Love that you moved your white panel over to the right - good move. I also love the sentiment on the top. I tend to always put mine on the bottom right.

So in love with your subtle hints of grey, the panel nudge slightly to the side (really cool idea) and your gorgeous inked flowers!

I hear you loud & clear...I prefer my 'ownsome' time and tend to bow out of social events. But, like you, when I do venture out, I really do have fun!

...BTW...your wind arrived here mid morning! My goodness, I was sure our huge Russian Olive was destined for a crack and a fall...upon our roof!

Introvert here too :) A cocktail party just about sends me into the psych ward as I hate useless chit chat. usually end up finding someone who will go a bit deeper and sitting in a corner chatting away to just that one person for a long time.

Adore your case! Fabulous use of the yellow, grey and black and of course, loving the flowers.

Bright and cheerful... yellow always makes me smile. We could do with some sun. Your inking is is flawless, Carol. BTW, March winds and April showers bring forth May flowers. ..or so they say. lol.

Striking & beautiful, Carol! Good for you going to the event--would be very difficult for me, too. I'm so much better with one on one.
