Scalloped Heart Love...MUSE #100, CFC #268~Clean and Simple, Uniko #17~Love and Friendship

Hello...

A quick post before I start packing up my stuff for the drive home...sighh. I know it's time to get back into my surroundings, work and routine, but...I'm not quite ready.  Then again, I doubt I'd ever be ready! I'll miss my mom deeply. DEEPLY!  On the plus side, we're aiming to return on Friday, so that's but 5 sleeps away.

My card today is pretty self explanatory: LOVE
  • for my mom
  • for my husband,
  • for my family and
  • for all of you, my special friends, who have blessed me with warm comments, lovely notes and especially GORGEOUS cards! My husband brought my mail collection when he arrived last night and WOW! My mom and I couldn't believe our eyes at the outpouring of compassion so many of you expressed in works of art that I will treasure forever!  THANK YOU - from my mom and from me!  Hugs and love heading your way!

Inspiration for my card comes from Michele's sweet, classy card over at MUSE #100:

The scallop heart is inlaid into the white panel, with red paint chip paper adhered to the back; the sentiment is from Winnie and Walter (smitten with their products!), The small heart and the panel itself are popped up. I am so addicted to foam adhesive...I need mega-big rolls of the stuff!

Packing calls...sighh.  Dragging my heels just a little...or a lot *grin*

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!
Hugs....

Great layering of hearts. You need a group photo of all the cards. never easy to shift gears...hang in there and know that you will get back into the routine with the odd hiccup here or there that catches you totally off guard a times, but is part of the healing process. Your mom is blessed to have such a wonderful daughter!! Biiig cyber ((hug))!!

To my beautiful friend C - who is very clearly stalling, but I also cannot blame you!! It was hard after things settled down to leave my mom alone - but luckily for me I was but 10 minutes away!! My heart goes out to you and wish there was anything I could do to encourage you, strenghten you or just help you up!!! Ok so LOVE is too small a word, not bolded enough, needs to be underlined about a million times - then maybe it would express how I feel about this card!! So wonderfully traditional in its' red and white and just so awe-inspiring!! Oh, C, my heart is with you and I really am cheering you on - can you hear me???? I'll try to get a little but louder!!!

I hope you and your mom are comforted by the love and care flowing your way. The cards you've created are absolutely beautiful. So glad for you that you were able to create in amongst all the other things you've had to attend to. I'm sure that helped you cope as well.

Absolutely wonderful card, Carol! Maybe we could get our own foam tape company! Hope you do OK leaving your mom for a few days--I know how hard it is to face the normal routine when the world has so changed. So good you're close enough to go back often. Hugs, Greta

Such a sweet post dear friend! I wish I could be there for a real life hug! Another stunning creation! Nothing says love better than red & white...with a wee pop of black for a bit of ooomph!

Foam adhesive...Jen McGuire (I think it is was Jen???) suggested using the foam sheets that you buy for kids crafts. I've seen them at Walmart & Michaels. Use a glue roller to adhere and you're good to go for a fraction of the cost! How do these gals come up with these amazing ideas?

Goodness, C, can you be any more awesome? Now that I finally understood what paint chip paper is, I wonder if I should ever invest into colored card stock again when you get wonderful results just like this :) Love the stark contrast of white and red … it's lovely and heartwarming and super cute!
