Fabulous Wow!...Retrosketches #108, Craftin' Desert Divas Challenge #28: Anything Goes, Just Us Girls #234

Hello again! A fun day, toodling around in the car, while my husband rode his new road bike. It truly is a pretty bike, although I'm glad that he was the one sitting on that seat, rather than me.  That's my #1 issue with road bikes: uncomfortable seats.  Anyway...

Time for a quick post before tackling supper preparations.  Apparently, I liked the Just Us Girls Tall and Skinny challenge so much, that a repeat was in order (hope that's okay with the team),

with Retrosketches #108 providing layout inspiration.

Another 'big sentiment' to share, as well, along with a return of the Explosion stamp that I used last week (oh my..."last week"...which means counting down the days - or not! - until returning to work.  Time flies...sighhhh).

I've also discovered another new-to-me challenge, Craftin' Desert Divas, who are inviting us to their Anything Goes challenge.

It looks like a most welcoming place to play! Thanks, Tara, for giving us another place to share our creations!

I'm quite loving those 'big' Uniko Studio fonts...still have a few more to play with! Yayy...

Since you're here, I thought I'd show you photos (not particularly good ones, though) of my "mobile crafting unit," for your amusement and entertainment.

First up...my travelin' stash of four paper pads, and a minimal assortment of stamps...

Next, nestled into a Swiffer's container (not a very deep one) are my stamping, adhesing and cutting supplies.  This is "not" a limited stash, folks...this is all I own...so the whole kit-n-kaboodle have come along for the drive.  See...proof that my ink supplies are pa-thet-ic (two sets of HA cube dies, four sets of Memento Dew Drops plus a couple random ones, and two black inks.  Not a whole lot....

And...this is the Mobile Crafting Unit all packed up - one Swiffer container and one other 'shoebox' size container.  When it's all packed up, everthing fits into a reusable sized grocery bag, with the cardstock (not shown) tucked along the side.  There's even room for more stuff - like my three books - and the cross-stitch project for my nephew I was 'supposed' to be working on, to fit on top.  Mobile...

About that dish of chocolates - those are courtesy of the vacation rental owners.  How nice! I'm amazed we haven't hoovered them yet, but there's still time...

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments make my day!

For someone with limited supplies you sure are turning out some awesome cards. Then again you have a LOT of stuff packed in those containers.

Oooh! I love how you've used the retro sketch, this card is just...well...fabulous! :) I really love the 'wow' explosion, it makes it all the more celebratory :)
I'm sorry your time off has flown by...isn't that always the way?! I'm sure you've made the most of every minute of it though and will make the most of what's left ;)
I love that your MCU is about equal to my whole stash! Ha ha! I really don't own many more stamp sets than you have in your photo there, or inks for that matter! I think maybe a little shop may be in order now - if DOH asks, I can show him this picture to prove that I am way behind in the stash stakes! He he! :)

Great use of the sketch and no worries about entering more than once for JUGS. Nice to have everything all compact and able to take with you so you can still stamp while away :)

Super card, Carol! You're so organized with your mobile crafting unit. I can never figure out what to take, so end up just with stamping magazines.
