Merry and Bright Card and TAG! I'm *IT*!! Round 6...CAS(#) this Sketch #57

Hello,
I have so much to be thankful for this week - especially the AWESOME surprise birthday party held on Monday, planned by the incredibly sweet, darling, amazing Bev and the group of fabulous, wonderful guests who joined. I'm still in (and will be for quite a while to come) awe at how special the event was!  Never has my birthday been celebrated in such a most unexpected, beautiful, thoughtful and heart-warming way!  A proper *thank you* post is in the works!  I shared the links with my dad and mom, and both were soooo impressed.  My dad, as I've mentioned, isn't much of a talker, but he sent me an message, making abundantly clear that he thought your words and cards were top-notch!  As for mom, tickled pink she was, as was my husband!  Your kindness has had a ripple effect and I know that your goodness will be rewarded. I treasure all of you, more than you can possibly know!

Right now, I'm in a bit of a dither, trying to create a few cards for my family (and to those of you who have sent me oh-so-beautiful cards - have I mentioned how blessed I am?? - I am so grateful! I likely won't get Christmas ones to you, but one of my resolutions is to send cards in the New Year more often.  So stay tuned...I have your addresses :-) ) make 40 more tags, continue with the thesis proofreading project,  get through a few more days of work, help my husband with a biathlon event on Saturday, carry on with cards, over Sunday and Monday, and then...travel time!! Woo hoooo...Much to do, much busy-ness...

For now, here's my card for CAS(E) this Sketch #57

A less wide background, methinks, would be an improvement...

NOTE: So delighted that my card was selected for an honourable mention at CAS(E) this Sketch. Sparkles added to my day!!!

Because I rather liked the 'concept' of what I did, it spilled over into Round 6 of tags.  They were a production (hot glue gun required!), but such a great  opportunity to play with some new goodies....

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments make my day!

I'm pretty sure I recognize that bow!!! Does this mean your SSS order has finally arrived!!! Eeeek!!! 'Bout time, huh?!! Did you squeal with delight when you saw your happy mail and skip all the way back to your house with a gigantic smile on your face, or is that just me?!! ha ha!!! Now, don't be surprised if this is the uncontested, hands down winner of this week's CTS!! Um, because the card is awesome!! The bow seriously rocks - well worth the antics with the glue gun, and those sequins are SO right for this! LOVE IT!!! SO MUCH!! And even more fabulous - that you transitioned the design into another set of absolutely beautiful tags! Your sister-in-law is one lucky lady, that's for sure!
Last but not least, so, so glad you enjoyed your special day! As much as you loved and treasured your surprise, we love and treasure YOU even more!!! Thrilled that your family got to have a peak into our little world, to see for themselves just how incredible we all think you are!! Be thinking of you as you tie things up the best you can before heading out for a magical Christmas with you family and the kiddos!! xoxo

I'm glad you are liking my 12 days of Christmas . I did it to help everyone just to take maybe 5 mins out of the their busy schedule for some fun down time space.
Your bow card is terrific as also the cute tags. We have a TV channel here in England Create & Craft and I saw these bows being shown on there and thought yes' so what' and do you know I'm kicking myself now after having seen yours!! Hugs Mrs A.

Carol ...you are one of the sweetest, dearest people in our crafting world! Your posts entertain us, your kind words uplift us and your talent inspires us! It sure was one heck of a party, eh? (had to throw that in there!). To know that your family was just as tickled as we were is truly heart warming!

Another fine example of your talent....the card is stunning! Great idea to let this design 'spill over' to the tags! Love how you varied the shapes of the tags and changed up the DP (love the small chevron/zig zag print!).

And, yeah....the bow die and the ticket sentiment banner - gor-gee-ous!

I can just picture the mayhem that is guaranteed to occur after gift opening, when folks start scrambling to snap up all these tags to reuse next year. It could get nasty!

You, my dear, are a treasure. So many of us think so, which is why we 'partied' with/for you! Your posts are always entertaining, full of news and of your life in a part of the world where many of us will never get to see, but we have the wonderful opportunity to see it through your eyes. And your creations always spark smiles. Clever, happy, and sure to delight all those you so sweetly send to. This round of tags is no exception. Big smiles and two thumbs up for these. And so much work...but well worth it. Way to go, birthday girl! Bev
