Leafy Thanks...Just Us Girls Challenge #459~Photo Week

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #459~Photo Challenge, where our sweet Maria has selected this lovely Fall photo to inspire us.  I'm currently at my mom's, where we're having a heaping helping of winter right now! Apparently, a return to autumn weather is on the radar but today...brrrr!!!

Sooo...my card was made in a complete panic - and I know it looks that way, too. Sighhhh! I simply didn't bring the right supplies to my mom's for a bit of crafting during the week (even though I thought I did! Poor planning on my part...), so a 'frantic' trip to a local retailer saw me buying a whole lot of stuff the Lawn Fawn Leaf Reveal Wheel.  Let's just consider this one a practice...Perhaps a new version later in the week that does justice to this set will happen, once I'm back in my crafting space. On the plus side: I love the reveal wheels oodles!

For amazing inspiration (unlike mine!), please be sure to check out the cards created by my fabulous design team - SueAngieVickiInaBobbyNancyLisaMaria - and our super talented September Guest Designer, Julie Beech.

Looking forward to seeing your interpretations of the FALL PHOTO in the gallery.

Thank you for dropping by!

Well, I think this looks just fine, Carol. I like that ombre in the leaves and the pretty patterns on the ones falling in the sky. I DO understand not having your normal supplies handy. I think that is why I kind of gave up on going to crafty playdates. I couldn't just haul my whole crafty space. You just never know what you are going to need, right? But honestly, I like your reveal card! Have fun playing with it. :) Hugs!

Carol, I love your wheel card - I completely understand not having all your supplies! It's really very pretty and esp the blue in the center - its unexpected and really sets off the center and draws your attention to the wheel. I can't ever do those fancier interactive cards - I always get so confused when I try. Someday I hope we can craft together and you can help me learn how to make cards like this! Hugs!

You are always so hard on yourself but you needn't be this is a lovely autumnal card. Who doesn't need an excuse for a trip to the craft store for more supplies!
Hope you weren't too cold at the cycling, no snow here but a decided drop in temperature. :)

This is totally awesome! I love that leaf wheel. Such a great idea with the soft blue background and the leaves around the sentiment. You are being way too hard on yourself!

Your card turned out fabulous! Don't be such a "critic" of your cards. :)

I think the leaf wheel was a great idea! Also, glad I am not the only one last weekend spending money I shouldn't have on crafting goodies! I always beat myself up afterwards. You will get lots of use out of that wheel I am sure!

That leaf wheel is such a good idea, Carol, and darling besides. I'm sorry/not sorry that you had to go buy some goodies but I'm sure you will have fun with this one.
