You're Out of this World...Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #343

Hello!

My wonderful DT and I, along with our immensely talented Guest Designer, Vicki, and two special guests from our sponsor, Your Next StampDeborah and Sue - are inviting you to play along with Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #343

Aren't these cupcakes a-dor-a-ble?  They remind me of one of my favourite rides in Disneyland (from a visit years upon years ago): "It's a small world, after all; It's a small world, after all, It's a small world after all, It's a small, small world."  Okay, now that I've planted that song in your head...

Moving on to my inspiration.  I'm not going to lie: I struggled with this challenge for two reasons: cute small child images are not part of my collection and the image I really, really wanted to use wouldn't work because my printer wasn't cooperating! Grrr...Oh well, I'll save it for a down-the-road challenge.  After spending hours fretting, fussing and recycling (Mr. Recycle has a full tummy), I went in the only direction I could think of: focusing on the word "WORLD" and came up with these...(be warned: a bit of a stretch. I dub myself the DT Oddball for this challenge!)

The first batch of the 20 Valentines I'm making for my nephew's daycare pals, using Lawn Fawn's Monster Mash, Neat and Tangled Ink Splat, The Alley Way Stamps' Learning Curve, and Poppy Stamps' Mainstreet tag dies. Given the colours and glitter, I think these will be going to the girls...

Hope you don't think I'm 'out of my mind' with my 'out of this world' tags and that they brought a smile to your face!

Soooooo...how are you inspired by "Around the World'?  Let us know by creating a card/project and joining us in the gallery.  As I mentioned earlier, our challenge this week is sponsored by Your Next Stamp, who are generously offering the winner a $20 gift certificate. Incentive!!

Please check out our blog to see what the rest of the Design Team and our guests have created.
Looking forward to visiting you!!

I like your "oddball-ness!" Actually, it's just thinking outside the box. Or globe. But in any case, these are cute, and those little ones are going to love these little ones! Really fun! Bev

I've never played along with a Cupcakes Inspiration, but I may try now, since I have the Disney-bug and you hypnotized me with the song! I can totally appreciate the direction you went-- not sure where I'd go w/ this theme either... tricky... but well played!

You're definitely not 'out of your mind' - I think these are a great take on the challenge and so super cute! And that's half the fun of them anyway isn't it - really getting creative and going outside of the box. (Wait until you see my CASology card this week).

Oh boy, that song is going around in my head now Carol. lol We rode that ride as well and I loved those cute kids that you would see as you rode through. I also love the cupcake inspiration picture and I don't think your take on it is "outta your mind" at all. I think your Valentine tags are simply adorable! Hugs, Brenda
