Wedding Day...Uniko Studio Surprise Bridal Shower for Ren-yi; Uniko Studio Challenge #13: Special Occasions

Tuesday..a cloudy Tuesday with the threat of thunderstorms...and I'm feeling exponentially 'lazy' and in slow-motion mode today! So far, my accomplishments are nil! Yeesh!! I have several cards to post, so time to turn to that task and, hopefully rouse Mr. Mojo from wherever he's hiding.

Sweet, talented and within-mere-days-of-becoming-mom-to-twin-boys, Bev, from Uniko Studio, is hostessing a 'surprise' bridal shower for one of her DT members - Ren-yi - who is getting married on August. 22.  I've received a number of encouraging, uplifting comments from Ren-yi over the span of my blogging enterprise, so making a card for her was simply a given.  I went for a stroll to round up some inspiration, found it here, at the talented Kimberly Harris' site, rounded up my dies and the remnants of my one sheet of lovely 'collage' butterfly paper, and went a-creating...

My card features a three-layered Uniko butterfly and sentiment (congratulations is stamped inside), so in addition to posting this at the special * for Ren-yi* gallery, I'm also sharing at Uniko Studio Challenge #13: Special Occasions.

To Ren-yi and your new husband: wishing you a wonderful wedding day, filled with all the sparkles that come with such a special occasion, and a lifetime filled with an abundance of blessings!

Oh goodness..that reminds me that our 3rd anniversary is right around the corner! Perhaps I should do something extra nice for my husband *grin*.  A surprise warranted for him having put up with me all this time.  At the moment, it will be a surprise to me, too, because no ideas are storming my brain...yet.  Chocolate cake would work. Hmmmm....

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!

Your weather sounds similar to ours this week! I hope that Mr. Mojo has made an appearance for you to complete your tasks, though he was certainly present with this beauty :) I love the shaped card, something I really struggle with attempting. The layered butterfly really adds the elegant touch. So glad you joined in on the Bridal Shower for Ren-Yi and also the USC #13 :) Hugs Bev x

I love lazy, slow-motion days, particularly with rain coming down! You've used your time well. A beautiful butterfly on beautiful patterns!

Beautiful, soft papers and the butterfly is gorgeous. Wonderful round card and those Lil' Inker's stitched dies add just the right touch :)

Gasp! This is stunning, Carol--gorgeous! Our anniversary is around the corner, too (3 with 4=34!) & I haven't even made him a card yet! I do have zucchini apple bread in the freezer, though, & we both loved it so that may replace cake for us!

Awwwwww pretty!! All the right ingredients for a wedding card - soft touches, elegance and sweetness. I KNOW Ren-Yi will adore it just as much as I do!
And when is your anniversary?!! Since it's taken me so long to get caught up on my commenting it may have even passed!!! Well, I know one thing, there is no way your sweet hubby "puts up" with you!!! You are his everything and I just know he embraces and cherishes every minute of every day he gets to spend with you!
