Awesomeness...Addicted to Stamps and More #185~Photo Inspiration

Hello!

Hope you're adjusting well to Daylight Savings! Me? Still somewhat out of whack...but that's my condition most of the time *grin*

Today, my fabulous DT and I invite you to Addicted to Stamps and More #185~

where we're drawing inspiration from this photo, filled with ever so many launching points. Single words, groups of words, subway art, flowers, home decor, colours...unlimited possibilities!

My first card, inspired by the flowers, the pink cups, the coral flower pot, the green of the leaves, translated into reaching for my CAS-ual Fridays Mon Ami set to design this little pencils-and stenciling number:

(Still need to practice my blending with the pencils I have...or order more! I'm leaning
toward the latter *smile*)

My second contribution showcases zero talent from me; rather, it's a 'just because I can' opportunity to try my hand at replicating one of Deepti's cards, showcased here.  My only twists: colours and aperture opening, as beyond that, it's Deepti-esque in every way.  Do as the Masters do, say I!  The best part: a card I'm fairly pleased with and a design style that, with a few little changes, can fit a variety of occasions.  I rubbed Perfect Pearls onto the green sponged panel; wish I could capture the subtle shimmer....

In addition to the photo to spark ideas, we have even more incentive, as we're sponsored this week by Kylie's generosity of a $15 gift certificate over at

How I'd love to see YOU win!

Your turn!  See you in the gallery!

Thank you for spending time with me today; your visit brings me joy!

Sea Creatures Birthday...Always Playing with Paper The Challenge #63, Little Tangles Challenge #66~Ombre

Hello,

Popping in this 'daylight savings' Sunday with a card for two challenges.

First is Lesley's Always Playing with Paper The Challenge #63, where our incredibly talented and sweet friend, Anita, is the Guest Designer. She's brought a marvelously vibrant, 'finely feathered' card to the inspiration table (my card is quite the contrast, as you'll see):

Second is Little Tangles Challenge #66~Ombre.

I brought my mini sea creatures stencil out for a play, inking them up "ombre style" (or so I hope) with distress inks. Mermaid Lagoon, Fossilized Amber (for the sand) and Abandoned Coral - just *had* to use them *grin*  Cracked Pistachio..well, it was part of the set of four and seemed pretty for a seahorse...

Even though I live in the middle of the Rockies, I'm smitten with shells, starfish and seahorses (but not swimming! I'm scared of water!).  Trip to a beach to wander and admire the scenery?  How I wish...

Hope I didn't stray too far from your sketch, Lesley...

Thank you for spending time with me today;  your visit brings me immense joy!

Hello...Inskspirational Challenge #104~Pink & Grey, MUSE Challenge #156

Hello,

March is certainly marching along at a quick pace; two weeks ago I was inviting you to join  a geometric challenge (a gallery of ah-mazing geometric gems, I might add! Thank you for bringing your squares, diamonds, rhombuses and trapezoids out to play!!) and, in a blink, I'm back to welcome you to Inkspirational Challenge #104~

We're so fortunate to have wonderfully talented and, I'm delighted to add, fellow Canadian (cool, eh?) Susan from sunny-rainy British Columbia, joining us as our Guest Designer.  The CAS card she's crafted for us is pink-and-grey charming!  Please leave her, and the rest of my teammates - SandiePiaMarinaShaunaKim and Nonni - some love, as once again, their inspirations are simply fantastic!

Today, two cards to share, drawing ideas from MUSE Challenge #156, where charming Michele has this delight to spark our design-dendrites

along with an array of *more than one card to inspire us* here.  The first card I teased out, based on this one by Michele,

features my 'pretend' water-colouring with stamps (thank heavens for those!), in pink and grey, along with a W&W Hello die and three sparky gems - in black, pink and clear - that, in real life, do add a nice little touch...

Shadows...ugghh! Alas, I have no place to take photos where natural light is available (we  live in an odd little townhouse structure, I tell you, with windows in the front and patio doors in the back - that's all - , and no proper sills or room to arrange furniture to catch the light we do have...), so..making do as best I can.

My second card is a total case of Michele's Muse muse...I figure when you see something as pretty as the one she created, no point in messing with it!  A change of colour, a trio of little hearts and...ta dahhh.  Liking it lots!

Turning the challenge over to you right. this. second.  Bring out your pinks and greys and....See you in the gallery!

Daylight Savings begins for us tomorrow...one less hour to craft...Let's not talk about that *grin*

Thank you for spending part of your day with me; your visit brings me immense joy!

Small Gang and Guest Designer...NBUS #6

Hello,

I'm rushing in, before the Linky blinks closed at fabulous Darnell's NBUS #6 challenge

with my NBUS Stamping Bella The Stuffie Gang image that I coloured with my new polychromos pencils. I tried to follow the colour scheme from the stamp packaging, as I'm not particularly confident with colour matching. A WHOLE lot more practice with blending and shading is needed, but...'tis a start. Aren't those critters adorable?

Speaking of adorable...

I also have this princess picture to share with you, created by my most darling, sweet, precious guest designer....

Ms. T, my niece (missing front tooth and all)!  We had a conversation about NBUS over the weekend (trust me...she has a LOT of crafting NBUS!) and she decided that this fancy-schmancy picture is one of her favourites, coming as it does from her NBUS gi-normous Frozen colouring book.  She certainly has her own style, including designing her own backgrounds! No blank walls and floors for her, no siree!  Her work of art doesn't fit the challenge rules, but I thought I'd share my special girl and her craftiness with you anyway. Gosh darn but I love her to bits and pieces, and pieces and bits!

Welcome to Aunty's c's blog, Ms. T!!  LOVE YOU!

Thanks so much for spending part of your day with me; your visit brings me joy!

Mon Amie....Just Us Girls #333~Flowers, Less Is More Colour Week~Citrus, CAS(E) this Sketch #162

Hello!

After several days of 'hectic', all in very good ways - and a few in fantastic ways (birthday party on the weekend for my darling niece and nephew, plus a weekend with Mom) - I finally got my act somewhat together and created a card for the following challenges: Just Us Girls #333~Flowers,

Less Is More Colour Week~Citrus and CAS(E) this Sketch #162

Several new polychromos pencils have joined my initial collection of 36 (*palm smack on forehead* should have purchased the entire kit 'n kaboodle of 120 from the outset...but I wasn't sure I'd love them. Turns out I do. Big Love), so a few had an opportunity to play....as did my 'texture' MB stencil. Wonderful Michele's sweet Happy Birds card, using the speech bubble, was especially inspiring...(and, my friend, should you be reading this, I'll be catching up on your gallery of *awwww* and AWE, very soon!)

Simple card; heart-warming message.

Before I go, here's a photo of the birthday cakes my sister-in-law designed for my niece and nephew, who turn 6 and 4, respectively, this month.  She carved out the center of the white-icing cake and when she cut in...an explosion of M&Ms!  The kiddos were thrilled, as were the big kiddos, standing by!  Can you say: SUGAR RUSH!

My niece and I had our first 'just us two' shopping date...way tooooo much fun!  When I asked her earlier in the week what she'd like for a birthday gift, her first response was "Surprise me."  Eventually, we narrowed things down: I could buy her any kind of dress I wanted, as long as it had flowers all over it (so much for 'any kind I wanted' *grin*), books and jewelry.  So...that's what we shopped for, with her net birthday package containing, three dresses, one of which has flowers all over, three books and one little sparkly guitar charm.  Happy niece = Happy Aunty c! Bonus: everything was on super sale! SCORE!!  A shopping trip with Mr. C is still on the radar for later this month...I'd best get well-rested before that happens. He's energy personified!

Thank you so much for spending part of your day with me; your visit brings me joy!

Hello!

Welcome to Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #183, where my amazing teammates and I invite you to share your holiday-themed cards/projects with us this week.

Although my collection of Easter products is rather incredibly skimpy, I still have enough to create a colourful, 'energetic' Easter card...

Bunnies come in rainbow, right?  Right! Hope my card makes you smile and that this photo of a super cute pygmy bunny (those little ears! Cuddle-inducing!) makes that smile even brighter....

This week, one lucky winner will have the opportunity to select three digi images from our generous sponsor:
