Color Hues Challenge #136 - Cream and Gold - Thanks, I'm Touched Beyond Words Lilies (Better Press Society Cascading Lilies)

Hello,

First, Happy Canada Day to my Canadian followers. Hope your day is filled with celebraton.

Welcome to Colour Hues Challenge #136 where Julie invites us to play with hues of Cream and Gold for the next two weeks. Such a pretty combination, especially if you're thinking of "Christmas in July" as a possible theme. If course, this pairing also fits for a wide range of occasions, as you'll see from the design team.

Another Better Press Society plate making a debut today: Cascading Lilies. Simple gold foiling of the plate, then die cut and added to a matte gold background.  The lilies are lovely but oh, how I wish Spellbinders had included a stencil with this plate. That said, 'plain' works, too.

Please visit the main blog to see lovely inspiration from my talented teammates.
Looking forward to seeing how Cream and Gold will inspire you.

The challenge will be open until July 14 @ 9:00am (EST).

The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge and the overall
winner will have the opportunity to be a future Guest Designer.

Thank you for dropping by!

A stencil would have been nice, but just the outlines of these lilies in the gold foiling is SO elegant Carol that it really doesn't need anything else! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)

Plain works beautifully Carol in this simply elegant and stylish take on my colours!

They absolutely should have added stencils, that would have been something! Although your clean design says it all very well too. Very pretty, Carol!

You have so many of these Better Press Society plates, and this is another stunner! These lilies really don't need any color to make a statement!

The flowing lilies are gorgeous and look so elegant in gold and white. I love it as is, Carol, but you could try inking a light color over the entire image, then buffing the ink off the foiling. But like I said, it's a beauty just the way you created it!

Carol I just think this is so beautiful, plain is nothing short of gorgeous my friend! I know and maybe one day the companies will start making stencils for all the set we have that don't have stencils! xo

A perfect card for the Cream/Gold challenge, Carol! What a lovely spray of lilies from corner to corner and a classy sentiment to go with it! Julia xx
