Candy Canes and Birch Trees...Inkspirational Challenge #95~Anything Goes with Silver, TIME OUT Challenge #43~Christmas, In My Creative Opinion~12 Days of Christmas Tags

Hello!

A huge, heart-felt Thank You to everyone who played in the Cute Halloween challenge last week! We had a fabulous number of entries, each one charming and delightful in its own wonderful way.

Now, with Halloween come and gone (are we in some kind of excessively speedy time warp?), our thoughts turn to Inkspirational Challenge #95

Does anyone else have "Silver Bells" running through their head at this moment, or the "Silver and Gold" song sung by Burl Ives, from  my favourite Christmas show of all time, Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer (Yukon Cornelius and the 'Bumble'...hahahahahha)  Maybe you're thinking about tinsel?  Perhaps shimmery stars?  Wherever *silver* takes you, we want to know!

For this challenge, my fabulous team - SandieMarina ShaunaPiaNonniKimYvonne, and I are joined by wondrously talented  Kathi Silvia from the blogs My Creative Therapy and 613 Avenue Create.  Please be sure to stop by, leave them some love, and then...come play!

My inspiration for you begins with this card, using my new Stampendous Candy Canes stamp. The silver appears in the dots surrounded the image, as well as in the little merry die cut. I decided that blue, green and purple went quite well with silver...

My second card was inspired by Tracey's tag on  Day 2 of her amazing 12 Days of Christmas series, so I went with a tag and card combination, using my Winnie and Walter mini birch trees stamp (I inked it up sort of 'graident-ish' style with three shades of blue) and Peace die, cut from sparkly silver paper. In real life, this paper is 'brillliant'...

I'll be sharing over at

TIME OUT Challenge #43~Christmas, with optional twist of pink/purple

Remember: we want to see your Anything Goes with Silver in the gallery; the winner/s will be invited to join us as a Guest Designer in a future challenge.

Wishing you a wonderful Saturday; your visit and comments have brightened my day! Thank you!
Hugs,

I love how well your words match your images - "merry" with the cheerful candy canes - and the "peace" with the soft blue images is truly love!

Gosh your colouring is so good, I adore those candy canes and the little silver dots look fab. The sentiments in silver are just perfect x

Oh my, Carol, both these cards are stunning. I absolutely adore the colors! The first one the blues are unexpected, but oh so beautiful! I also really like the use of the silver. Just so pretty. On the second card, the use of the blue and silver is used to their full advantage with the ombre in the background and the sparkly silver sentiment. Absolutely fantastic work! :)

My dear and awesomely talented dear friend....your candy cane card is OUT OF THIS WORLD amazing! Honestly, truly fan-tab-u-lous coloring! "Wicked" in fact (channeling my inner skateboarder self).

The tag/card combo is stunning as well. So elegant with a simple color combo that doesn't detract from the peacefulness of the image!

You've crafted up some mighty fine eye candy girl!

Me too is a huge fan of all Rudolph songs....especially the one where Grandma is run over by him....Can't remember the title of it, but I have always found it hilarous to hear at Christmas. Humour is always a fabulous thing....no matter the time at year :)
Love your HUGE candy canes, Carol :) I might have to check out Stampendous!

You are right blue, green and purple go so well with silver! (And if I can ask, what is that dotted stamp you used around the Candy Canes stamp)?
