Be Creative...STAMPlorations Bi-Weekly Sketch #33 and Anything Goes, Simply Create Too #85~Favourite Colour Combo

Hello!  Was this a whoosh-week for anyone else?  I can't believe it's Friday already, and the added bonus *long weekend*! Happy, happy, happy!  My husband and I may head to the 'big' city for some shopping and perhaps even a movie.  In a theatre!  That's coming mighty close to being a 'date', don't you think?  Hmnnn...

I'm dashing in with my card for STAMPlorations Bi-Weekly Sketch #32. As you will see, however,

I turned the sketch sideways (actually, I turned my head sideways, first) - like so -

and, once that happened, well...wouldn't you know it...all I visualized was the 'outside' edge of the butterflies stencil.  I tried to shake it off, go with something different, but...nope,  Stuck. in. my. head.  So I went with it.  To be sure I stayed reasonably sort of true to the sketch, I lightly stamped my sentiment along the left edge..and then hauled off and stamped it smack dab in a more 'obvious' place.  Just to be sure...

To Shery and the DT....hope I haven't taken liberties to the extreme and that the sketch is 'see-able'. If not, I understand.

My sunset/sunrise flittering butterflies are also heading to STAMPlorations Anything Goes

and to Simply Create Too #85~Favourite Colour Combo, because I quite like the blend of red-orange-yellow.

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!
Hugs,

Wow! I am loving your take on this sketch Carol! You are so clever and I know that you love your butterflies, and the butterfly stencil worked out perfectly for the sketch design. I love the curves you get with your stencil and butterflies, way to clever my friend. Yes, this week has gone by very fast, but all of them do for me. lol I think going into the city for some shopping and a movie sounds very much like a date and good for your guys! Enjoy each other!! Your blending is perfection and love the colours you put together. And love the butterfly outlines, how they curve around the card. I also want to thank you so much for all your lovely comments you've left me of late. I'm so glad you like my cards and yes, I wish I was on some more design teams but there are so many other incredible card makers out there (like yourself) so will just go with the flow. I'm following your blog now so I don't miss any more of your posts. Must pop over to the Uniko post now, congrats on your GD post!!

Fab interpretation Carol, I'm not adverse to rotating the odd sketch and spotted that you had. This is such a pretty card with the crisp butterflies standing out against the soft blended background.

Fantastic work, Carol. I can't imagine they wouldn't accept it because you took the sketch and flew with it. I wish I could see more possibilities than I do when I look at sketches and the like. I so admire those who are able to stretch things! Your butterflies are lovely and the colors are gorgeous. You are amazing! I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
