Thinking of You...Inspirational Challenge #59: Blue with White or Cream

Happy Saturday and especially Happy Summer Solstice!  How did it get to be the longest day/shortest night SO quickly??

Today, I'm delighted to share - and join in - with a colour challenge invitation at Inkspirational Challenge #59: Blue, with White or Cream

I admit that plenty of  hemming and hawing, puzzling and figuring, reckoning and pondering went on before I finally decided what to create...as did a whole lot of cheering and applauding when some long awaited new goodies made a most timely appearance.

Before I share my card - well, actually two - I'll pour myself a cup of coffee and peanut-butter a slice of toast while you go for a stroll over at Inkspirational.  At your destination, you'll see a fabulous card (swoon-inducing for me) by our oh-so-talented, super sweet guest designer,

Laura, hostess of LE Designs

along with the rest of the team's amazing creations using this lovely colour combination:

(who is currently tanning and relaxing on the beaches of a
well-deserved holiday in Cyprus. Cyprus...paradise...wow)

I see you've returned, wearing mega-watt smiles at the delights and dazzles that awaited you.
Now, for my card. Before you go, though, here's a surprise: NO butterfly. I know...hard to believe, but a new winged bug has been welcomed to my flutter of butterflies (and it came with a flutter all of its own...more butterflies for me and, by extension, you!!  Hope you don't mind; they're unique and so pretty)...

Thinking of you...featuring my first time used Reverse Confetti Tag Me tags, along with my new background 'script' stamp and...the star of the show...

Dragonfly!!! It's hard to see the outline stitching - but it's there, as is some
Wink of Stella glitter. Guess I'll have to use it again to show you more clearly...

Actually, this was my second card. The first - which I have still to send to my dad *hanging head* (I am the worst when it comes to mailing cards! I like 'personal delivery!!) - was this one.  Everything here is (ahem...) also new (shhh....I haven't shown my husband yet...)

Your turn!  Get your 'blues, creams, whites' out, create a card (or two) and join us at Inkspirational Challenges.  I'm excited to see the creativity and inspiration you'll share!

Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments make my day!!

Both of these cards are beautiful! I love the tags and detail on the first one. The scoring around the tag and the stitching on the dragon fly are wonderful! Little details like that are often easily missed, but they really add to the construction of a card. Gorgeous work!

Wow, Wow, Wow!!! These cards are both just gorgeous Carol!! I love those tags on your first card and the script stamping is amazing but my favorite is the cute dragon fly!!! I so love dragon flies and this one is so pretty on those tags. You second card-and don't hang your head to far down because I'm right there with you-I made cards for my son's who are fathers and guess who forgot to give them out and didn't mail the one yet?! Yep, me-so I'm hanging my head right with you!! lol But I love, love this card. I didn't get the anchor or that background stamp set and now I'm kicking myself in the butt. lol I guess I will have to go back and get it sometime. Both cards are amazing and so fabulous!!! I love them both! Thank you for you sweet comments about me, I have to laugh cause you have me pretty high and my DIL's don't think of me the way you do! lol I do tend to be more outspoken or as one of my son's says, I'm opinionated. Oh well at least everyone knows where I stand on things. Hugs to you sweet Carol, I hope you are enjoying your weekend!! Brenda

Beautiful cards! I love the nautical influence. Great use of that Wink of Stella pen, too. I just started using that myself recently and have been really impressed with the delicate shine that they provide. Awesome, isn't it! Thanks gorgeous the inspiration!

Two amazing cards Carol, resplendent in these gorgeous shades of blue! The dragonfly is great...and yes, I see the stitching! I'm totally swooning over your sproinky bow and the angled tags! Great design!

Card number two - wow - the PERFECT father's day (or guy b-day) card ever! I love the rustic strips - is that a stamp - if so, which one? And that anchor & chain die is a must have (Silhouette just can't compare to the crisp cut of a die!). I adore the wee bits of bling you added to anchor!

Amazing attention to some mighty fine details on these two cards! You are on fire girlfriend! Looking forward to seeing more!

BTW - Card Concept Challenge is "Nautical"....your second card - perfect fit!

Oh I'm just like you! I have been on a terrible spending spree lately! I had three boxes come in the mail yesterday and dh saw them and asked what they were.... I mumbled....very small and quietly.... stamps..... He just said, "I don't know where you put all this stuff"... heheh! LOVE your cards! It's not a butterfly, but it has wings and it's gorgeous! The tag is fabulous too! Love your nautical Father's day card! Get that in the mail! heheh! ((Hugs))

I am terrible at sending cards in the mail. I have a bunch of addressed mailed labels sitting here on my desk and all I have to do in sign a few cards and drop them in the mailbox! Why do I keep putting it off! You dragonfly die cut is fabulous and love seeing all the RV goodies, I find their dies so trendy. Beautiful script background too!

I love your nautical card too, that chain hanging off the anchor is just the perfect way to finish off your fabulous card.
