Inkspirational Challenge #317 - Word Prompt - Frame - Breezy Blooms Today is a Good Day to have a Good Day

Hello,

Happy June 1st...and a warm welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #317. Wonderful to have you joining us.
For the next two weeks, our word prompt inspiration is FRAME.  Super easy; super fun!  Your frames can be any shape, size or style; as long as you have something surrounded by a frame, you're good to go.

Double frame on my inspiration card: Breezy Blossoms  from Pinkfresh Studio and a light stone frame from Dress My Craft, a new-to-me company. The number of frames in the set means I can go on a frame-fest!

Looking forward to seeing how FRAME inspires you!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #729 - CASE a DT Week - To A Wonderful Friend (PFS Wildflower Bouquet) NEED TO ADD TO BLOG

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #729 - CASE a DT Week. We get to create whatever we want and invite you to draw inspiration from one of our cards to create yours.

A simple card from me, featuring a combination of several companies products: Pinkfresh Studio (wildflower bouquet and sentiment), Pigment Craft Co. (coverplate background), stitched circle die (Prism Studios) and, to tie the florals together, a bow (Alex Syberia Designs).

Looking forward to seeing whose card you'll CASE!

Thank you for dropping by!

Inkspirational Challenge #316 - Reminder Post - Designer's Choice - Spotlight Technique - You are Everything Wonderful Cosmos (Spellbinders, BetterPress)

Hello,

I'm here - finally - with my 'reminder post' card for Inkspirational Challenge #316, where my lovely teammate, Pia, selected the Spotlight Technique as her Designer's Choice.

I'm completely besotted with Spellbinder's Cosmos Background press plate + stencils and my card, below, is the fifth one I've inked up already (with a few more waiting their turn). I used two shades of Pinkfresh Studio inks for the 'background' and distress inks (lilac, concord, old paper, sage) for the coloured section, which was also cut out with a circle die. The sentiment, on grey cardstock, is from another SB press plate.

The gallery is open until May 31st; hope you'll play along with us.
We'd love to see YOUR card in the 'spotlight'!

Thank you for dropping by!

Color Hues Challenge #87 - Coral and Teal - To My Favourite Person Flowers (Spellbinders Better Press)

Hello,

Mid-May already: time to launch Colour Hues Challenge #87. Our lovely hostess, Jules, invites us to use hues of Coral and Teal as our combination for the next two weeks.

We're also delighted to welcome our Guest Designer - Papierelle

After plenty of 'nope, don't need it', I came to the conclusion that I certainly did! The 'it' I'm referring to is the Better Press system - and it came along with a companion purchase - the Glimmer Hot Foil system. I may be late to embracing their possibilities, but trust me, I'm making up for lost time! I LOVE both!

My card features the press plate that comes with the Better Press system. Even though the image has been showcased by many crafters before me, it's a first for me. The flower is large enough to use ink blending brushes, so I did. Coral is from Pinkfresh Studio; Teal from Altenew. A trio of teal enamel dots and...done.

Most of the team used more vibrant hues of the colours; I opted for less so. Use the hues/vibrancy that works best for you.

Looking forward to your Coral and Teal creations filling the gallery.

The challenge will remain open until May 29th at 9 AM!

The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge and the overall winner will have the opportunity to be a future Guest Designer.

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #727 - Moodboard Week - Cosmos Birthday Wishes (Spellbinders Cosmos)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #727, where our lovely hostess, Carol Mc, has selected this fabulous summery mood board as inspiration this week. Images, colours, the beachy/travel/adventure vibes...so many ways to interpret one, two or all of these photos.
Once again, we're delighted to have Jenny Martin joining us as our May Guest Designer.

Maps, beach/water images, bikes (my Honey Bee set has gone missing!) aren't in my collection or aren't 'favourites' calling to be used - so I played with colours, specifically the aqua/teal of the beach scene and the sunset/rise of the sailboat photo. Of course, given I'm completely besotted with the Spellbinders Cosmos background, that became the vehicle for my colours...

Yes, I'm an outlier in the group with my take on this challenge, but that's okay. Remember: mood boards are about more than 'just' the photos...

Looking forward to seeing your creativity in the gallery.

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #726 - Word Week - Garden - Life is Better in the Garden (MCT)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #726, where Stephanie, our lovely hostess, has selected GARDEN as this week's word prompt. Time to bring out the seeds, flowers + veggies, gloves, watering cans, trowels, pots, then 'plant' your garden-themed images onto a fabulous, colourful card/project.
Once again, we're delighted to have Jenny Martin joining us as our May Guest Designer.

Garden themed papers, paired with an assortment of die cuts - prim hearts, watering can, tulips + leaves - came together for my mini slim card. It makes me smile - hope it does the same for you. A huge THANK YOU to Melissa, at Moe Creations, for the design inspiration.

Looking forward to seeing your GARDEN inspirations in the gallery.
