Inkspirational Challenge #318 - Mood Board - Alphabet Soup Happy Birthday

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #318.  Our mid-June (already!) inspiration for the next two weeks is from the Mood Board you see below.

Remember that mood boards have ever so many avenues for you to explore with your crafting: colours, images, textures, the 'vibe'...and that's just a start. You can choose one element, or a combination, as the focus of your card/project. Let us know what caught your eye; we're excited to see your interpretations.

Adapted from: https://picsandcheesecake.blogspot.com/2014/05/dt-lifepaperscrapbook-may-mood-board.html

After residing in my stash for over a year (perhaps more!), I finally brought my Concord & 9th Alphabet Soup Turnabout out for a turn-about! Obviously, I drew inspiration from the scrambled letters  in the bottom row photo, the circles next to it and the colour combination. The sentiment is from a Spellbinders BetterPress plate.

Looking forward to seeing your takes on the Mood Board!

Just Us Girls Challenge #731 - Word Week - Celebrate - Let's Celebrate Breezy Blossoms

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #731, where I've selected CELEBRATE for this week's word prompt.  So many options: birthdays, Father's Day (this Sunday), Mother's Day, weddings, graduation, national holidays (Canada Day and July 4th are on the horizon), retirements, accomplishments, *you*...and the list goes on. Hopefully, we'll celebrate a gallery filled with celebration!

I'm celebrating with some Breezy Blossoms, in pastel colours, from Pinkfresh Studio, paired with a Better Press sentiment from Spellbinders. These flowers make me happy; hope they create a similar response for you.

Your turn!

Just Us Girls Challenge #730 - Color Week - Pink and Aqua - This Card is Full of Birthday Wishes (PFS Quadrant, Spellbinders sentiment)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #730, where our fabulous hostess, Carol Mc, has selected Pink and Aqua for her first-ever Colour challenge. Such a pretty combination!

A new month means a new guest designer; we're delighted to have Jane Taylor joining us for May. Welcome aboard, Jane.

I'm smitten with both my BetterPress and Glimmer systems; both came into play for this challenge. I'm featuring the  older - but new to me - Quadrant Backdrop press plate, stencil and die from Pinkfresh Studio. Silver foil to add some glimmer to the plate, then stenciled with assorted PFS, distress and C & 9th inks. The sentiment is from Spellbinders. My photo doesn't do justice to how pretty this combination is in real life.

Looking forward to seeing a gallery filled with Pink and Aqua!

Color Hues #88 - Blue and Yellow - Wildflower Postage Collage Hugs Inside (Waffleflower)

Hello,

Welcome to Colour Hues Challenge #88, where our lovely hostess, Karen, has selected a summery combination as inspiration for the next two weeks: Yellow and Blue.

My Waffle Flower Postage Collage Wildflowers and coordinating Postage Collage dies came out to play with this challenge. Simple stenciling makes me happy, especially in various hues of blue and yellow

Looking forward to seeing your take on these colours.

The challenge will be open until June 14th @ 9:00am EST.

The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge and the overall winner will have the opportunity to be a future Guest Designer.

Thank you for dropping by!

Inkspirational Challenge #317 - Word Prompt - Frame - Breezy Blooms Today is a Good Day to have a Good Day

Hello,

Happy June 1st...and a warm welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #317. Wonderful to have you joining us.

For the next two weeks, our word prompt inspiration is FRAME.  Super easy; super fun!  Your frames can be any shape, size or style; as long as you have something surrounded by a frame, you're good to go.

Double frame on my inspiration card: Breezy Blossoms  from Pinkfresh Studio and a light stone frame from Dress My Craft, a new-to-me company. The number of frames in the set means I can go on a frame-fest!

Looking forward to seeing how FRAME inspires you!

Just Us Girls Challenge #729 - CASE a DT Week - To A Wonderful Friend (PFS Wildflower Bouquet) NEED TO ADD TO BLOG

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #729 - CASE a DT Week. We get to create whatever we want and invite you to draw inspiration from one of our cards to create yours.

A simple card from me, featuring a combination of several companies products: Pinkfresh Studio (wildflower bouquet and sentiment), Pigment Craft Co. (coverplate background), stitched circle die (Prism Studios) and, to tie the florals together, a bow (Alex Syberia Designs).

Looking forward to seeing whose card you'll CASE!

Inkspirational Challenge #316 - Reminder Post - Designer's Choice - Spotlight Technique - You are Everything Wonderful Cosmos (Spellbinders, BetterPress)

Hello,

I'm here - finally - with my 'reminder post' card for Inkspirational Challenge #316, where my lovely teammate, Pia, selected the Spotlight Technique as her Designer's Choice.

I'm completely besotted with Spellbinder's Cosmos Background press plate + stencils and my card, below, is the fifth one I've inked up already (with a few more waiting their turn). I used two shades of Pinkfresh Studio inks for the 'background' and distress inks (lilac, concord, old paper, sage) for the coloured section, which was also cut out with a circle die. The sentiment, on grey cardstock, is from another SB press plate.

The gallery is open until May 31st; hope you'll play along with us.

We'd love to see YOUR card in the 'spotlight'!
