Just Us Girls Challenge #669 - Color Week - Turquoise, Mustard and Black...Snail Mail is the Best Mail (C & 9th)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #669, where our wonderful Ina has selected a wonderful palette for Colour Week: turquoise, mustard and black. We're thrilled to have uber-talented Michele Ferguson, from I Card Everyone fame, joining us as our March Guest Designer. I'm sure you've seen her stellar creations in our gallery, on her blog and on Instagram. Her debut as our guest: only awesome.

I went with a relatively simple card. I say 'relatively' because it took a while for an idea to gel. Once it did - along with the help of some online inspiration - this was pretty easy-peasy to create. Concord and 9th's products all the way. That little snail is soooo cute and yes, I so agree with the sentiment!

Looking forward to seeing how you're inspired by this colour combination.

Thank you for dropping by!

HLS Birthday Challenge - March 2023...Let's Celebrate You (TE Create in Quads Hooray, Foil It Birthday)

Hello,

After a good long break, the Happy Little Stampers challenges are back in business! Today, I'm delighted to welcome you to the March 2023 Birthday Challenge, where Anything Goes is always the theme. Isn't that the most wonderful incentive ever? I think so!

My card is one, of four, created using Taylored Expressions Create-in-Quads Hooray stencil. The stencils are primarily for celebrating graduations, but when they're paired with Foil-It panels (you only need a laminator for these), they become birthday cards. Clever, this double dipping, right! I foiled the sentiment with turquoise Deco Foil, stenciled the border and voila...a birthday card done. Three more to share at some point; stay tuned!

Looking forward to seeing your birthday creations filling the gallery!
Thank you for dropping by!

Color Hues Challenge #59 - Green and Gold...St. Patrick's Day Gnomes

Hello,

March 1st has certainly come quickly, hasn't it! Seemed but a blink ago that it was January 1st...and we've whooshed through that month and February, too. Of course, March 1 brings a new Colour Hues Challenge and, as your hostess, I've selected hues of Green and Gold as inspiration for the next two weeks. St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner, as is Spring as well as any other occasions that spark your creativity with this colour combination. My amazing teammates, as well as our guest designer, Barb, have plenty of eye candy for you to enjoy.

Pretty obvious I headed in St. Patrick's Day direction. A chance to play with my Simon Says gnome, shiny green and sparkly gold papers, my solitary little shamrock die and some patterned papers.

Had to make a second leprechaun gnome for a tag. I'm not a 'big' fan of gnomes, but this one is a cutie.

Looking forward to seeing your Green and Gold makes in the gallery.

You have until March 14 @ 9:00 AM EST to join us.

The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge goes live.
The overall winner will have the opportunity to be a
future Guest Designer.

Thank you for dropping by!

Inkspirational Challenge #284 - Designer's Choice - Stitching - Real or Faux...Happy Birthday Bear (Ellen Hutson Bear card and stuffie)

Hello,

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #284, where our lovely Pia has selected Stitching - Real or Faux - as her Designer's Choice inspiration for the next to weeks. Stitching dies, stitching on your cards, stitched projects (cross-stitch, quilts, embroidery...): as long as 'stitching' is featured in some fashion on your art, bring it to the gallery. So. Much. Fun!

We're also super excited that Marina, a long-time Ink design team member, is re-joining the team! We're thrilled you're back, Marina!

My little project duo showcases both faux and real stitching. I pretty much always have faux stitching of some fashion on my cards; this one is no exception. Faux on the border of the main panel (hard to see on patterned paper, I know), as well as around the hearts circle. The real stitching is pretty obvious...and lots of it! This set will head to my niece - along with some other cards - for her 13th birthday! Gahhhh! She's a teenager, as of March 3rd! Time has flown...

Of late, I've been investing time in both cross-stitching (we can thank card-maker and cross-stitcher Nicole Spohr for this renewed interest) and stitching with felt, using dies. Below is a sampling of the hearts I stitched - thanks to the awe-mazing dies by Poshta Designs - for my family. They were such fun to make...and more fun to send! My current cross-stitch project (I'm the slowest stitcher EVER, by the way) is the stitch-along project with Nicole Spohr: More Chocolate Bunnies by Hands On Design. I'm already well behind but that's fine...loving every stitch! And yes...we all need more chocolate bunnies!

Excited to see what Stitching styles you'll be sharing with us!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #668 - CAS CARD Week - Coloring ...Happy Barkday (Photoplay, MFT, Waffle Flower)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #668 - CAS Week. Our sweet hostess, Nancy, asks that our clean-and-simple cards (described in the graphic below) feature colouring.

This challenge also marks the final card share with our guest designer, Karen Walker. Karen, your talents have truly dazzled and delighted us all month! Thank you!

I haven't used my copics for ages, so I went simple with my colouring of a Photoplay pup. Paw prints are MFT; backing papers, Photoplay, sentiment, Waffle Flower. Love when various companies play nicely!

Looking forward to your CAS Cards - with colouring - filling the gallery!

Thank you for dropping by!

Just Us Girls Challenge #667 - PHOTO or MOODBOARD Week...Abstract Mountain Just A Note (Ellen Hutson, PFS)

Hello,

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #667, where our wonderful Vicki has created this super fun, super loaded-with-inspiration moodboard for this week's challenge. Seriously, this image has something for pretty much everyone!

Guest Designer Karen Walker has designed a marvelous card, as have my teammates.

Pretty obvious what caught my eye - top row, second from left -  and a fabulous opportunity to my 'must use more' Abstract Mountain' dies from Ellen Hutson. Fun to play with coloured cardstock and add a simple sentiment. I quite like this style so plotting-and-scheming to make more.

Excited to see how this amazing Moodboard inspires you!

Thank you for dropping by!

Color Hues Challenge #58 - Lime Green & Cyan...Painted Dots Hi (Concord and 9th, The Stamp Market)

Hello,

Here we are - second half of February already and with that our new Colour Hues Challenge #58. Sweet Tracey invites us to use hues of Lime Green and Cyan as inspiration for the next two weeks. At first glance, it may 'seem' a challenging combination but, as you'll see from the design team - and our wonderful guest designer,Linda S., it's not. In fact, it's an awesome 'why haven't I used this before' combo!

I made a couple of lime green/cyan cards - and the one that photographed best is here. As I've mentioned before, Concord and 9th turnabouts are 'perfect' for many of our challenges. I decided to go with a whimsical approach and reached for the Painted Dots turnabout. It really is fun! The sentiment is from The Stamp Market. A colourful little 'hi', methinks!

Looking forward to seeing your creativity in the gallery.

You have until February 28th @ 9AM (EST) to play along with us.

The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge goes live.
The overall winner will have the opportunity to be a
future Guest Designer.
