Super Boy...TIME OUT Challenge #36~Case Alice, Simply Create Too #91~Anything Goes

Hello!

What a weekend! The bike races went smoothly, thanks in large part to my amazing husband who knows how to officiate a cycling event masterfully!  Even the criterium race, often known to be somewhat a crash-fest went off pretty much incident free; which is not to say crashes didn't happen, but nothing that didn't see those involved gathering up their bikes and carrying on with racing. Whew...

We're heading north tomorrow afternoon!  Yahooo...family time for me, while my husband, on Thursday, journeys several hours further to officiate cycling competitions at Western Canada Summer Games. I'll miss him, of course, but given a choice between 'home' time and bike races...easy decision!

Okay, I'm back to my old 'last minute' dashes for TIME OUT, which is, for Challenge #36, an invitation to case Alice's card:


When we returned from our 'cross Canada/USA trip' last week, waiting in my mailbox was a special SUPER set of treats from Ms. Sweetest of the Sweet, herself, the darling Michele from icardeveryone.  Alice's inspiration card called me to showcase one of  the (several) little gems Michele sent me: 


Ta dahhhh....SUPER BOY!  My twist goes like this (Let's twist again, like we did last summer...Sorry...had to *grin*):  Super Boy = cactus; rainbow stars = washi tape background; sentiment banner = sentiment.  I'll be giving this to my nephew (Happy 41 Months Old) - along with the souvenir Ottawa t-shirt (yes, cheesy, but it's sooooo cute!) I bought him.  


THANK YOU, Michele! A 'super' gift from a 'super' friend to give to my 'super' little guy!

    This is really so super and very sweet also. So perfectly colored, and I love that he appears to be standing on his sentiment banner. The rainbow of stars behind him is a wonderful backdrop for your super boy.

    We don't care if you are late, we just love to see you at TO plus it makes me smile to see you just pop in at the last minute! Wow to your colouring Carol, it is so good and this Super Boy is such a perfect image for your nephrew. Have a fun time x

    So happy to hear of your successful trip. Very happy to hear of your wonderful surprise once you got home. And your resulting card is fabulous. Super Boy is so cute. You've colored him wonderfully. Look at all those stars emanating from him! It's just magical! Your cards simply put a smile on my face. Thank you as well for another wonderful heads up regarding Paper Smooches. You are so sweet and I love how you encourage me to get my booty in gear. :) Big hugs!!!

    Carol - life seems to be a whirlwind for you right now - so cool and fun that you are having lots of adventures with your hubby and time with your family!!! I think your card is an fantastic CASEing of Alice's card and besides being SUPER that boy is most excellently colored!!! This is a stand-out card and you have totally made me smile and I am positive your nephew will smile as well!! It is good to have friends that send happy mail to you - so fun!!     What the heck? I almost missed this post! Good thing I scrolled down a bit! Super Boy = Super Card = Super Cool = Super Thrilled Nephew! Seriously, this is likely going to rock his world! Throw in a souvenir t-shirt from Ottawa and he will think that he is THE coolest and luckiest guy in the world...which he is cuz he has THE coolest aunty!
