Zebra Hey There...MUSE #126, Paper Smooches~Anything Goes, Crazy 4 Challenges~Happy

Hello,

We are, literally, off to the races in a couple hours. The event today - a suffer-fest hill climb that, while not long is VERY steep, runs from 5-8pm, so we'll be home late, once we have all the results done. Tomorrow, we'll be leaving about 7:00am for a full day of criterium races. As much as they're fun to watch, they're also rather scary. Hopefully, everyone will remain upright and safe. I'm so glad my husband is the chief official (which gives him a 'little' bit of permission to boss me around *grin*), and not in the competition.

Before we go, dashing in quick with my card for Muse #126, inspired by this absolutely adorable penguin card designed by our fabulous Tracey McNeely, who, at this moment, is in the midst of moving to her new, gorgeous home.  Hope the unpacking is going well, my friend!

I have but 'little' penguin images (for now..I've given in to the temptation of this MFT set...excited for its arrival!), so I went with another black-and-white critter, who I've nestled in a flowery and leafy 'paradise' all his own:

I haven't played with my PS zebra for far too long, so making this card was a ton of fun!

  15. Genius idea to use the zebra since it is black and white like a penguin, the foliage and flowers you added to the card just make that zebra squeak with JOY. He is very happily situated!! Hope things went well/are going well - good luck, be safe and keep smiling!! You are dear to so many of us!! I dare say, ME, especially!!!

  19. Awesome work on this card. Like those leaves ( *Ü* ) That zebra has the cutest face! The flowers add a nice touch and I am so sorry but the hey there makes me think of Joey from the US tv show Friends...makes me giggle. May not be the vibe you were going for though. Ohhh I hope everyone was safe on that race! Hugs!

  20. All of your elements work wonderfully together. That little zebra is such a cutie! Popping the major elements up really makes them stand out. Your subtle leaves in the background are just right too. Homerun!

B&W is B&W in my world. Those leaves are spectacular, btw. Love them. Love this card. Hope you're having fun at the races, and that everyone is riding safely. Bev

  27. How did everyone get one with the races at the weekend?? Hope they all did well and no-one was hurt too much. Your card is an absolute sweetie and wish I had this little dude. I don't usually buy critters as I felt they needed to be Copic coloured but now I'm getting more confident with my pencils and water colouring (and you don't need to colour black and white animals) I might need to add this to my Wish List!

  29. Super cute card, Carol! I love the penguin too but have managed to resist temptation so far (only because the exchange rate is so bad. haha) and I cannot wait to see what you do with it when it arrives. I love your little zebra. I haven't given my PS stamps much love lately so you've inspired me to dig them out. Thank you!
