Hello,
Welcome to Color Hues Challenge #56, where our sweet Sheri invites us to use hues of Pink and Red as inspiration for the next two weeks. Perfect combination, especially with Valentine's Day approaching quickly.
Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Bobby; welcome!
As part of a Simon Says wee shopping excursion, I landed the freebie set of snowman, fittingly named Freezy and Chilly. Though they are small and a bit fiddly to work with, it didn't take long for me to become just a tad obsessed with them. They are way toooo cute - and they pair wonderfully with another new addition - Christmas Cutouts by Tim Holtz. So...here's the first of *ahem* a few snowman love cards...
How will you showcase Pink and Red?
Excited to see!
I finally received these 2 snowmen just last week after waiting since the beginning of December and of course I had to play with them right away! They are a bit fiddly because of the size, but I absolutely LOVE how you used them with pink & red for this challenge Carol...they are PERFECT!! Sweet, sweet card!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteHow cute are these two! A really fun card with just that little twist. Rather appropriate as we have the first snow of 2023 here, just a sprinkling but as we are not geared up for it it will no doubt cause havoc!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe fiddling was worth it, this is adorable!
ReplyDeleteCarol, I eyed these guys for so long and in the end refrained. They are absolutely perfect! I still regret it and more so now! Awesome card!
ReplyDeleteThat card is so adorable. I love the snow people you used.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining our Anything Goes challenge at Cut It Up.

Welcome CM to MTTC! Hope you come back more often for our themes and also make sure to check out our sister blog, My Time to Craft Christmas. I love the choice of pinks and reds with enough white to help keep it looking vibrant for Valentine's! Thanks for showcasing the cute snowmen for our theme! --Becca/DT
ReplyDeleteP.S. your card would also work at the current theme for Heart's Quest Challenge blog that I own. Theme #22 requires at least 1 use of heart/love plus Valentine's occasion for parent or kid. --Becca/owner of HQCB
ReplyDeleteSuper cute, Carol! Looks like they are definitely smitten. You did a great job with this challenge!!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable!!! Love the pair and how you grounded them with that fun font of a sentiment. I can't wait to see how you dress them up in your upcoming cards.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to combine winter and Valentine Day. These are such great die cuts.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining our Cut it Up Anything Goes challenge.
Hugs,
Larelyn (CIU owner)

ReplyDeleteI am swooning over your card, Carol! I adore my Chilly & Freezy die set but have only used them for Christmas creations, so thanks for the inspiration to carry on with them for other occasions! Love every bit of this!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute!! I LOVE how you used these snowmen!! Perfect little scene!!
ReplyDeleteMy freebie snowmen have yet to leave the packaging, but I can see now that I'd best move them to the top of the pile. They are adorable, and make a great valentine!
