Hello,
Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #602, where our lovely Nancy has selected Yellow, Red and Orange as this week's palette. Even though these are often considered Fall colours, you'll be impressed with the team's various ways of showcasing them.
Loll Thompson joins us once again as our fabulous Guest Designer with a beautifully inspired card - as are those by my teammates. Please, if you have a moment, do leave them some love.
No 'seasonal' interpretation for me; rather, something from outer space (which is kind of how I feel these days...spacey. LOL). I signed up for a 10 week MemoryDex card class and ohmystars! So many awesome ideas for decorating these small canvases to pretty up a rolodex. And yes, mine is pink! I'm wayyyyy behind in homework, but decided to make this one for both our challenge and the 'layers' assignment from Week 2 (we're on Week 5 as of today). Of course, my MemoryDex cards are more on the simple side than those created by my classmates/instructors, who are so talented in embracing and combining assorted layers, images, sentiments and so forth. Then again, the beauty of our craft is that it encompasses a wide range of styles, all equally as creative. My little rocket makes me smile and that's what matters; hope it brings one to you, too.
That's it from me; looking forward to seeing how Yellow, Red and Orange inspire you!
This is awesome, Carol. You're right, the main thing is to have fun and you seem to do that in spades. This kind of reminds me of the space ship that just went up with the 4 civilian astronauts. I'm sure it was their best day ever! :)
ReplyDeleteCarol... I love the idea of making small cards for a rolodex. Your rocket is adorable. Can't wait to see and hear more about your class!
ReplyDeleteYou are always dabbling in this and that! I am so envious of your determination and time management! As for your cute rolodex card...The rocket is fabulous in the colors I chose as are the sweet clouds. I have those and they are my favorite! As for spacey...pick me up when you fly by in your rocket I am right up there with you! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteSoooo cute. Love the shape .
ReplyDeleteI love the direction you took with these colors! That little spaceship soaring up through the clouds is fabulous and so cool that it is a Rolodex card! You are a rock star!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute creation! I love that rocket and everything about it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun class you are taking - love your pink rolodex and your fun rocket!
ReplyDeleteYou really have flown out of the box here Carol and OMGosh this is so 'cool' and I so love it.
ReplyDeleteDecorating rolodex cards. What a unique idea, Carol. I have an antique one with larger format cards that I planned to use for technique ideas but there it sits. I love your cute little rocket and the sentiment is perfect to get the day going.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! That rocket is so perfect for a boy card!
ReplyDeleteOh my this is too cute! Love that rocket and good for you for breaking out a new craft!
ReplyDeleteYour sweet little rocket definitely makes me smile. And, as far as I'm concerned, simple designs are always my favorite ones. And I know it's much more difficult to achieve a striking CAS designb that one might thought it is. You fabulously did the job, Carol!
ReplyDeleteThis is very fun! Love the bright colours with the shiny window plus heart.
