I was influenced by the current Pinkfresh Studio June 2019 Challenge~Mix & Match in my stamps/dies/paper choices for this challenge, especially as I had a few images left over from my previous garden-themed Inkspirational card.  This time...birthday theme...

Just Us Girls Challenge #494~Wild Card Week...You are RAD!

Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #494 where Ina has chosen a *wild* theme for this week: Fancy Folds!  I'm just a same old, same old kind of card-maker (plain ol' A2, usually side folding), so this was definitely a challenge. Skills stretched for sure...and that's a good thing *grin*

This is the final week for Marlena McDeavitt as our guest designer; Marlena, thank you so much for sharing your inspired, inspiring creations with us throughout June! After several 'experiments,' I finally managed a gatefold card that, for the most part, does 'meet' in the center. I covered my various sections with Boys Rule papers and ephemera by Cocoa Vanilla.  I'm planning to give this to my nephew...just need to find a photo to place inside the frame. I hope he'll like it; I think he is mighty RAD!!

Simple beach card, using images from MFT's Penguins in Paradise and their Cloud stencil, along with a sun from YNS. Sparkly sand and beverages, but hard to see in the photo.  All the rain we've been having sees me longing for sunshine, blue skies and warmer (but not too warm) temperatures...

I have a 'thing' for Concord & 9th turnabouts, so this go round (sorry...pun not intended), I played with the Wreath version. The first uses a sentiment from the stamp set; the second, dies from You're My Happy. A bit hard to see the letters in the photo but...they're clear in real life and the paper matches my light blue inks...

Uniko Studio Design Team Blog Hop~Re-visiting Explosions, Explosion additions and matching dies

Welcome to the Uniko Studio Design Team Blog Hop & Giveaway, which is what we gals do on non-release months!  As always, Bev has set us with the task of using some Uniko oldies AND goodies to showcase; this time - with Father's Day nearing - we're revisiting Explosion! Explosion! Additions & Designer Dies Explosion Collection, which just happen to be one of my all-time Uniko favourite combinations!

  

Masculine or feminine, these pop/comic book art stamps/dies cover anybody and everybody! Timeless and trendy, indeed!

My dad passed away four years ago, so no Father's Day card for him, BUT, I do have my wonderful brother - who is an awe-mazing dad to my niece and nephew - to celebrate!  I wound up making two cards, pairing the various Explosions stamps/dies with the Lawn Fawn reveal wheel dies.  Such fun and easy to put together.

The BAM is one card; the WOW, the other. I took two photos of each, so you can see the four sentiments I used.  Haven't decided which one I'll send to my brother...perhaps one for him and the second for my delightful nephew!

I created a rainbow (hey...what a surprise! Me and rainbow!) of hearts, using Studio Katia's Mosaic Hearts stencil.  Over top, a healthy helping of Moonstone glimmer gel...sooooo sparkly! The heart/hugs are also from Studio Katia. Should have made a few more while I had the stencil out. Oh well...just means I have to play with this technique/stencil/dies again *grin*

I have one umbrella die, but the two of us don't really see eye to eye sooooo...I went in a slightly different direction in creating an umbrella, drawing inspiration from Ardyth, of MASKerade fame. You can see her lovely rainbow umbrella here. Since I have a bundle of rainbow bits from previous cards, I decided to match a few up (size-wise, rather than proper ROYGBIV) and design one of my own...complete with sunshine and clouds!

STAMPlorations June 2019 CAS Card Challenge~Anything Goes (optional twist: MAHOGANY)

Welcome to STAMPlorations June 2019 Anything CAS Goes Card Challenge, with the optional twist of Mahogany. 

How fortunate that I actually have mahogany ink in my collection: Aged Mahogany distress ink, to be precise! Yayyy! I paired it with Tattered Rose and Worn Lipstick, to create a clean, simple card using the Old Rose Prints stencil and a sentiment from Frames and Flowers. A bit of glitter added to the roses and...voila! CAS card with the twist!

Welcome to Happy Little Stampers June 2019 Christmas Challenge - always Anything Goes - with an optional twist which, this month, is Non-Traditional.  By the way: 6 months to Christmas! Gahhhh!!!!

Finally welcomed Pinkfresh Studio's Train Ride into my collection and oh my stars! So much fun and so many delightful details (like the notches in the dies for the bear's paw, the reindeer's lollipop and the conductor bear's scarf)! I had a blast fiddling with the stamps and dies to make my little locomotive of Christmas wishes! Definitely replicating this many times over! Too cute to resist!

STAMPlorations June 2019 CUTplorations Challenge...You Are My Sunshine

Welcome to the STAMPlorations June 2019 CUTplorations Challenge, where we're drawing inspiration from this fabulous picnic-in-the-summer image!

Soooo...my interpretation of this photo took several twists-and-turns, until I realized that...yes, rainbow colours do present! Once I figured that out, putting my card together was a snap! A sunny sun, some stenciled clouds (I focused on one cloud, shifting it there and there to achieve a puffy clouds sky) and some rainbow patterned paper for the triple-cut, stacked CUTplorations phrase.  Rainbows make me happy!

Welcome to Happy Little Stampers June 2019 CAS Card Challenge, where our theme is FUNNY! Bring out your laughter-inducing stamps/images to tickle our funny bone!

Not a lot of laugh-out-loud stamps in my collection, but this sentiment from Ink Road Stamps does make me smile...mainly because it's so true, given our little Lily!  Paw prints embossed background and MFT Paw Prints Die-namics and Polaroid Frame...easy peasy!
