Hope you're having a great weekend; hard to believe that the Olympics are coming to a finale! What will I watch now? How about nothing...I have cards to make *grin*
Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #155~Photo Inspiration. Two of my favourite things featured here: hot, black coffee and butterflies...
We're fortunate to have Guest Designer, Lula, joining us for this challenge; her mixed media project is breath-taking!
My cards were inspired by sweet, talented Ksenija's post (Sweet Kobylkin) where she shares her 1 Stamp/3 Ways techniques and ideas. I didn't go so far as to make three cards or set a 'limiting condition' as she did but doing so is an exercise I aim to embark on very soon. Such clever ways to stretch stamps and fuel the creativity sparks.
Both cards feature my 'dab here/dab there' ink stamping (Memento Dewdrops) of one of the lovely images from Concord & 9th's Butterfly Beauties
Same stamp and colours here, with an overlay from Butterfly Card Dies and sentiment from All Year Long.
Coffee, butterflies, colours, layout...what will inspire YOU?
Looking forward to seeing your creativity in the gallery!

This is gorgeous, love the soft look and the odd splatters-fab card x
ReplyDeleteThese are both beautiful Carol! Such a fun challenge!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! The inspiration photo made me want to like coffee. Such a lovely butterfly in the middle of the brew. How do they do that?? LOL The cards are equally beautiful. Oh my, the colors are wonderful and I really like how you dabbed the ink pad to get that organic coloring effect. The brown card with the colors peeking through is very striking. Wonderful work, my friend! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blend of colors, Carol! I have this same stamp set but find it difficult to use for some reason... Your cards have made me think I really must try again! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my what wonderful butterflies...I guess the flu had flown you have been so busy!
ReplyDeleteA duo of deliciousness, Carol ... these are both gorgeous! I'm especially taken with the first, it's so dreamy and delicate! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards and I'm glad I zoomed in to see the textured effect and the dab here method works beautifully!
ReplyDeleteBoth so pretty, thanks for joining us at Allsorts, xxxx
ReplyDeleteHmmm I’ll have to try this dab here dab there as it certainly achieves a lush and lavish look to your butterfly. Such nice shades you used.
ReplyDeleteLovely card.

ReplyDeleteThese cards are fabulous! Love the color combo!
ReplyDeleteoh wow! I love these, Carol. I must say that the first is my favourite. I love the little watercoloured splats to compliment the butterfly. Gorgeous! xx
ReplyDeleteLove the softness of your first butterfly card, the colour combo is truly complimentary and adds so much interest. The simple pierced edge of the card base adds to the elegance too. Great inspiration xx
