Best Friends...Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #181~Anything Goes

Welcome to Addicted to More Challenge #181~Anything Goes.

The Simon Says Best Friends set recently joined my collection and...oh my stars! I. Can't. Even! Cuteness to the nth degree!

NOTE: Honoured and thrilled to be select as the winner for Inspired By Challenge~Foxy Succulents (Mar. 4, 2018)!  Thank you soooooo much!

I set these adorable copic-coloured critters (more practice...) atop a row of partially embossed flowers...er, I mean 'succulents'...drawn from the also-sweet photo at Inspired By Challenge~Foxy Succulents.  I have a fox and a 'cat' (of sorts *grin*), too....

Anyway, that's it from me...I 'may' have coloured up a couple (or ten) of these best friends...and the collection has a few more critters that are equally as enchanting! I'm excited to add them to cards and send them off...

Uniko Studios - Introducing Kindness Blooms & Fun Flowers Stencil (Tuesday, Feb. 27th)

Welcome to Day 5 of the Uniko Studio February 2018 New Release, where we're introducing two more delightful,touch-of-whimsy floral sets: Kindness Blooms & Fun Flowers Stencil. 

I played with the stencil, using some new oxide inks: Shaded Lilac, Tattered Rose and Squeezed Lemonade. From what I see in the blog-iverse, this is quite the popular combination; so glad it's in my collection!  The name of this stencil - Fun Flowers - is totally appropo, isn't it! Wait until you see what the rest of the team has down with it! Mind blown!

I've gone all rainbow in showcasing the sweet Equalizer stamps set...finally a use for my big collectin of 12 Zigs (since we don't seem able to establish a water-colour relationship *grin*). Simple, colourful and, hopefully, smile-making!

Uniko Studios - Introducing Seeing Stars Stencil & Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum Stencil (Sunday, Feb. 25)

Welcome to Day 3 of the Uniko Studio February 2018 New Release, where we're introducing two fabulous new stencils: Seeing Stars & Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum.

I went with simple ink blending with my samples, because in my world, these stencils make a statement no matter what technique you use!

The Chrysanthemum stencil...oh my stars!  Intricate and bold, it certainly does make a lovely stage presence, doesn't it. I have more plans for this beauty...love it!

Uniko Studios: Introducing Spring Botanicals Daffodil (Saturday, Feb. 2014)

Sooo...did you enjoy yesterday's showcases of the new Uniko Studio birthday/celebration themed sets? You did? Excellent! Are you ready for Day 2? Fabulous! 

Today, lovely Bev, my fabulous team and I are showcasing Spring Botanicals Daffodil which, as you'll see, features a single lovely daffodil and several sweet sentiments. This set is open to so many techniques and approaches depending on your technique and design preferences. You'll see ever so many variations from the team that I know will speak to the artist in you...

I used a 'new to me' technique for my first card: distress ink bleaching (inspired by Svitlana's post here). My daffodil is much more defined/lighter in real life and has a subtle shimmer from the perfect pearlized water I used. My 'learning' for next time is to let the water sit for a bit longer before blotting...

From a pastel palette to full on vibrant for my next card. The CAS in me just 'had' to come out *grin* Background Blocks Horizontal Stripes and Simply Said Blocks (sentiment) joining the party...

That's all from me; I *may* have a couple more daffodils waiting in the wings...

Coffee Butterflies...Inkspirational Challenge #155~Photo Inspiration

Hope you're having a great weekend; hard to believe that the Olympics are coming to a finale! What will I watch now? How about nothing...I have cards to make *grin*

Welcome to Inkspirational Challenge #155~Photo Inspiration. Two of my favourite things featured here: hot, black coffee and butterflies...

We're fortunate to have Guest Designer, Lula, joining us for this challenge; her mixed media project is breath-taking!

My cards were inspired by sweet, talented Ksenija's post (Sweet Kobylkin) where she shares her 1 Stamp/3 Ways techniques and ideas. I didn't go so far as to make three cards or set a 'limiting condition' as she did but doing so is an exercise I aim to embark on very soon. Such clever ways to stretch stamps and fuel the creativity sparks.

Both cards feature my 'dab here/dab there' ink stamping (Memento Dewdrops) of one of the lovely images from Concord & 9th's Butterfly Beauties

Same stamp and colours here, with an overlay from Butterfly Card Dies and sentiment from All Year Long.

Floral Birthday Wishes...Just Us Girls Challenge #429~Photo Week

February is just whooshing by and before we know it, Spring blooms will be making an appearance. Speaking of which...Welcome to Just Us Girls Challenge #429~Photo Week, where sweet Lisa has brought lovely flowers to spark inspiration.

Flowers in shakes of purple and yellow from me!  Altenew's Peony Bouquet has been in my collection for quite a while, but the dies recently made an appearance! Yayyyy...now I can arrange my flowers wherever I want, without the trickiness of masking. I love dies...

After three days of the Uniko Studio 6th Birthday and February 2018 New Release sneak peeks, it's time for the celebration 'reveals' to take the stage! Let's get this party started!

Today, we're introducing a trio of birthday/celebration themed images: Birthday Sentiments, Background Blocks: Party Confetti & Balloon Bash Stencil (one of five newcomers).  As you'll see in the upcoming introduction days, these sets are delightfully versatile and will serve well for all kinds of special occasions.

I went full-on birthday with my card,  featuring Birthday Sentiments and Balloon Bash Stencil....

These balloons are tooooo much fun, all big and poufy! And how about those fabulous-font, bold sentiments! These pretty products make creating birthday cards a breeze!
