Hello again,
Getting straight to the cards this time...
On stage first, inspired by Just Us Girls #331,
is this Flight of Fancy butterfly from CB...
Next on the runway, with colour ideas drawn from Pinterest Inspired February Challenge (had to play ,because my sweet friend Leigh is now on the DT! Yayyyy!)
is this...
Yes...I'm a goofball, but...I did my best to sponge the seahorse with several shades of blue along with a bit of green, brought the yellow in with my three wee gems (dang shadows!), created a lightly stenciled 'bubbly ocean' for him to swim through and finished him all up with a sparkly coat of Wink of Stella. Hope my 'connections' are kinda-sorta evident. Seahorses are very cool!
My background stencil and sentiment are from STAMPlorations, so I'm heading to their Anything Goes challenge,
as well as Simon Says Wednesday Challenge~Anything Goes
Okay, enough of me! Time to make supper for my husband, who will be heading east (Manitoba) early tomorrow morning. Another on my own-some weekend...CRAFTING TIME (oops...didn't mean to say that so loudly *grin*)
Thank you for spending time with me today; your visit brings me joy!
I love this. Is the seahorse a stamp or a stencil?
ReplyDeleteYour butterfly is so pretty with those gorgeous 3 colours. I love your seahorse & stencilled background & how you have managed to incorporate the colours from the inspiration. Beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteLove both your beautiful cards but that butterfly is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining us at Simon says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

ReplyDeleteWowzers! I'm loving me these cards. Super pretty and beautifully designed. xx
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Carol! That first card is stunning with that gorgeous butterfly on display. Such pretty blues! I like that text stamp behind it and the sentiment, well that is one lovely sentiment. :) Who wouldn't be touched receiving this beauty. And the second card. What a fantastic looking sea horse. I think they are among the most elegant and fascinating creatures ever. Your stenciled seahorse is magnificent! I am absolutely smitten with your stenciling. It looks fantastic. And the background stenciling? Perfection. You, my friend, have outdone yourself here, that is for sure! Big hugs!! And thanks for the inspiration! :)
ReplyDeleteStunning use of the colors on this exceptionally balanced card! Thanks for joining in at JUGS!!
ReplyDeleteSuper-de-duper, my friend. Not one, but two fantastically beautiful cards. LOVE the buttery-fly with his pretty texty panel, and what a sweet little seahorse. Great stenciling and sponging. Gorgeous designs. Love these. xoxo Bev

ReplyDeleteBeautiful butterfly card. So simple but stunning. Love the other cards as well. Thanks for sharing with us at Just Us Girls this week. You rocked our blue toned colour challenge.
ReplyDeleteDH is off to Estevan for an Old Timer's Hockey tourney this weekend so it will be just me and the kitties watching curling and crafting! Whoo-hoo! ...did I say that too loudly too?
ReplyDeleteTwo awesome cards! The butterfly is gorgeous and looks so cool with the block of script! The seahorse is AMAZING...especially the gorgeous 'bubbly' ocean that you created! Yep, two more stunners pal!
What a gorgeous butterfly! Thrilled that you joined us the week over at Just Us Girls for color week!
ReplyDeleteWow, what beautiful cards Carol! I love your butterfly, but it is that seahorse card that steals the show! Seahorses are amazing, so the seahorse is perfect with that sentiment! Love the colors you have sponged him in, he just looks amazing! Hugs, Brenda
