Wow...after a week off work, getting back in the groove is proving challenging. I think Mr. Mojo stayed back in my mother-in-law's city...in the garage where we had the car repaired! We're aiming to head that direction for Easter, but oh my...that's still a stretch away. Hope he returns much sooner than that!
I have a trio of cards to share - one here and two in a second post - all of which I made when my husband was away last weekend (a repeat performance happening this weekend...beginning tomorrow...). My first card was inspired by Hannelie' and Donna's stripey sensations over at
CAS(E) this Sketch #160
I haven't used my 'water-colour' stripes stamps (because we know I'm pa-thet-ic at watercolour, which I will prove with a recent creation...if I'm brave enough to post it) for a while, so out they came.
Images and layout decided, I went in search of a colour combination, and found it in one of the TEN amazing challenges over at Winnie & Walter's place.
My choice: Winnie & Walter Belated 2nd Birthday Bash~Colour Challenge with Heather P, where she's asked us to use coral, chartreuse/lime and aqua. So I did...along with a W&W cutaway, sentiment and, as always, my much loved large rectangle from Essentials: Katharine Cutaways.
Simple...once it was done *grin*
Thank you for spending time with me today; your visit brings me joy!
Fresh and crisp and such a great way to use those delicious colours, Carol ... fabulous stripes! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteSo professional looking Carol.....that would have taken me a day to think of the idea and then another one to do it!
ReplyDeleteOooh, very pretty! That is a great color combination. I probably would have had a devil of a time getting those watercolor swashes to look decent. You've done it to perfection. Well done!! Oh and safe travels to your hubby. Have fun with that extra creative time. I'm thinking your mojo has already returned!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your take on that striped sketch! And the colors remind me of spring! Lovely!

ReplyDeleteFun card, Carol!
ReplyDeleteYou could do watercolor, Carol. I know it. But why when you can create something this lovely with stamps.
ReplyDeleteLove how you used the stripes and that big, bold sentiment is perfect with them!
