Typewriter Love...Tag You're It Challenge #40

Hello, Hello...

A half-day work schedule for me today, then I'm off for a week! Yahoooo!!! We're heading west to visit my husband's family, returning on Monday.  No major plans for what I'll do once we're back, but I'm sure I'll find something to keep me occupied...cards, hanging out, maybe tackling a long-neglected, need-to-finish cross-stitch project. I'm very good at keeping myself entertained....

This morning, I'm joining my amazing DT over at

with a reminder post and tag for Tag You're It Challenge #40, where Jen's ever-so-pretty love tag is our inspiration:

Plenty of hearts have been adorning my cards, of late, so I went with a slightly different expression of love with this tag:

Here's how Jen's tag inspired me:
  • Image: her fabulous sketchy heart = my typewriter (sporting a wee heart, too)
  • Colour: red = red; kraft = kraft (yes, obvious..)
  • Background: her stenciling on pink = my patterned pink paper mini file
  • Sentiment: her *I love you* tag = my *I love you* tab
Now, your turn! Jen's offered plenty of launching points for you to create a sweet tag of your own, be it for your special Valentine or just to let someone special know how loved they are...

See you in the gallery!

Thank you for sharing part of your day with me; your visit brings me joy!

  2. I'm so far behind that it feels like I'll never catch up commenting. But here I am, and wanted to make sure I told you how much I like this tag. That typewriter is so perfect for this tag! Love the little file folder he sits on too. Such a pretty tag! And I hope you have a great weekend visiting family, and a wonderful, relaxing week off! And a Happy Valentine's Day too!! Bev

  3. Oooh, have lots of fun on your week long reprieve! I smiled when I saw that you could work on a cross stitch project. :) Your take on the tag is delightful! I remember my mom had an old fashioned typewriter like that and she'd let us bang on the keys. Oh boy, my fingers got tired. Hee, hee. I think the hearts adds just the right whimsy and your pink background sets everything off beautiful. Such a lot of delight packed into that little tag!! Have fun this next week! You've earned it for sure. :) Hugs!!

  9. Wonderful! The mini file is the perfect background layer for the vintage typewriter - just like the one I learned to type on, with all the keys blanked out!
