Soda-Delighted...Inspirational Challenge #102 ~Pop

Hello!

After missing the last challenge (hanging my head in shame, althoughI did have the *out of town and no mobile crafting unit with me* as an excuse), I'm back in the groove with the fabulous gals over at Inkspirational.

For the  next two weeks, our marvelous, talented, guest designer, who I know we all LURVE to bits and pieces, Tenia, from Jazzy Paper Designs, my fabulous team-mates (also deeply loved) - SandieMarinaShaunaPiaNonniKim - and I, invite you to play along with Inkspirational Challenge #102

*POP*...what a great word! Just saying it makes me feel all effervescent and happy!  From bursts of colour, to 'popped' up images, to pop art and music...oh, the possibilities that pop to mind (sorry, had to *grin*).

My take? Well, to use one of Tenia's phrases: CHECK IT...

My new Soda POP dies and stamps from MFT came out for a play, and they're set atop a 'bubbles' stenciled background, from STAMPlorations.  Obviously, I need a keener eye when it comes to aligning both the bottles and their badges, but...for a 'prototype' of cards I'll be making for my niece's three kindergarten teachers, I'm happy.  I'll work on eliminating 'slightly askew' in the real ones...

Please *pop* over to Inkspirational to see the rest of the inspiration cards, then head over to your crafting havens, create a dazzling delight and *pop* it into the gallery.

Looking forward to seeing your designs!

On a slightly different, but related note: I'm currently infatuated with using stencils, and in looking for ideas (because let's face it...I use stencils in the most simple, direct fashion), I found an amazing FREE (yes, FREE), online series by a talented designer (also Canadian, I might add): Justine Hovey. Her cards are amazing; her videos, fan-tas-tic!  So, to show how much I appreciate her investment of time and creativity, I'm linking my card at her place.

Justine Hovey.com~Stenciling for Cardmaking,

which I 'think' fits with this fabulous video tutorial inspiration here.

Thanks so much for spending part of your day with me; your visit brings me joy!

  1. FUN card - get me inspired to play at INKspirational right now! That soft stenciling is neat. There is so many things you can do with stencils - I learned a lot with the online card class - was not free, but worth it! I love stencils - I know you know that.... Happy V-Day weekend!

  11. Oh my, this card is "soda-lightful!" Groan, I know...I couldn't resist. I adore, and I mean adore the soft stenciled bubbles in the background. Thanks for sharing the link as I will definitely be checking things out. Back to the card, you chose some lovely colors to show off those bottles. They are inked so prettily. I don't care that the alignment might be off a teensy bit and I doubt anyone else would either. I just can't get over how pretty those colors are together! So well done!! Hugs!
