Wait for me, wonderful MUSE team...I'm a-coming!
We're just home from a 3 1/2 hour road trip (each direction) for my husband to compete in a cyclo-cross race. A long drive but the weather was fabulous, the road conditions fine, the wind non-existent (a real treat for us), the company (my husband is such a cutie-pie) pretty darn good and the race...well, that was a challenge! Good thing he brought both his cyclo-cross bikes, as a flat mid-way saw him in need of bike #2. He's tired from racing and I, from being cheerleader #1.
While he's putting his bikes back in the stable with the rest of his two-legged steads, I'm quickly posting my card for MUSE #138, where Anita delighted us with this lovely floral-and-polka-dots gem...
Anticipating a Halloween card from me, 'prhaps? Let's see....Nope! Christmas card! On stage, my LF Winter Sparrows, nestled in a wintry wonderland of 'snowy' Let's Bokeh patterned paper AND my brand-spanking new sentiment from Happy Little Stampers: Mixed Christmas Sentiments. Awesome set...you'll be seeing more from this collection very soon!
NOTE: Thrilled and honoured to be one of three favourites at Muse #138. THANK YOU!!
Off to make dinner...
Hope your weekend was fabulous; your Monday even better!
Hugs

ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a busy and engaging day. You are very dedicated to your sweetie's sport and that has to be a good thing. So glad you weren't too tired to create for this card is absolutely charming and delightful. Your little birdies are singing their hearts out and look great while doing so. Your coloring is wonderful. I really like that cutaway circle shape. So unique and fun. Thanks so much for sharing Ms. C. Have a great week. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my , that's so cute, Carol! Love this take on the Muse. And yes, the things we do for our family - I feel like I live in my car most days due kids having to be at different events at different times all the time!
ReplyDeleteSO adorable!!!!! Iove those adorable birds! Great design!
ReplyDeleteCouldn't be sweeter! Wonderful design.
ReplyDeleteLove how you interpreted Anita's MUSE card; keeping "true" to the sketch of her card; LOVE the bokeh background - more random and varied than the polka dots. Of course, the Lawn Fawn birds are so cute.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely darling take on Anita's card, Carol! Beautiful coloring, and I love the Bokeh papers in the background...so charming!
ReplyDeleteYou little trio of birds is adorable :) Great card. That is a lot of driving but sure it is part of the sport as you have to go where the competitions are. Yeah for no wind and decent weather, not to mention a second bike to sub in for the one with the flat.
ReplyDeleteSqueeeee!!!! Total cuteness overload right there! Love this Carol and that patterned paper is perfect behind your cute little birdies (I'm soo after that paper pad...on my wishlist with a trillion other items!)
