Crazy week...it's zipped by quickly but talk about being jam-packed with 'stuff'. My husband's been working 28 hours a day, with no relief in sight until mid June. Even though he works for a winter sport, the spring/summer months are just as - if not more- busy than the winter competitive months, what with planning for the upcoming season. My busy-ness isn't quite as frantic as his, but I've had plenty to keep me going. Thank heavens for a couple of crafting-therapy sessions. Without them, I would be completely gaga!
The flavour of this week's creations were inspired by STAMPlorations' week long:
Please feel free to blame the ultra-talented, sweet Shery and her DT for what you're about to see. They *made* me do this...*grin*
Welcome to my stencil playground of 'simply stenciled' cards. Shery's stencils are just plumb amazing, so I've let them be the stars of the stage.
The three cards for *this* post (yep...you read that right) are heading to STAMPlorations Flash Stencil Project Linky Party as well as to a couple three other challenges listed below.
Card 1: you've seen me use this wonderful butterfly mask before; this time, I added the stamped butterfly images. I went with black/grey and festive berries distress ink...
Card 2 features the nestled circles stencil, and the Happy die from W&W, so we're off to W&W Join in to Win , too.
Card 3, featuring the wonderful leaves stencil, will also join the STAMPlorations May Challenge~Stamps & Leaves
I just love when awesome products do allllllll the work!
I'm also joining the galleries at:
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge~Anything Goes
Thanks so much for dropping by; your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!
Hugs,
Goodness, I hope Andy gets some much needed downtime soon! Had to laugh when you tried to put the blame on me and my DT for the serious stencil mojo you've got going. The girls are simply awesome and I can't be any more proud of their work -- they constantly amaze me and put me in awe. And speaking of amazement and awe...your 3 cards are nothing short of those! Wowser, Carol, I can't decide which one I like the best! Can't help but admire your incredible sponging on all three cards - fantastic colors. Don't try to give all the credit to the stencils -- you've got an awesome, awesome eye for design and these 3 cards just blow me away. Hugs and love!
ReplyDeleteThree gorgeous cards! I admire your elegant colors! The combination of black/grey and festive berries is eye-catching, I never try this before. Thanks for your wonderful inspiration and sharing at STAMPlorations.
ReplyDeleteWow Wow Wow Carol, what a great trio of stencil goodness!
ReplyDeleteThey are all such clean crisp cards, fantastic inking to keep them that way.

Hi sweetie these are just gorgeous, I love the designs and colours you have chosen, hugs Pops x
ReplyDeleteOh my! I hope your hubby gets some time to rest soon. All that work isn't good for a body! This post is chock full of stencil goodness, that is for sure! You did an amazing job with those neat things and your results are amazing. The colors you chose are gorgeous and the blending of the colors is fabulous. Adore each card. You should be very proud of yourself! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh. Those. Colors. I love the unexpectedness of the combo in the first one. The shades of gray for the butterflies and the bright spots for the BG. Very eyecatching. And 28 hours a day? That ain't healthy.
ReplyDeleteA trio of beauties! That butterfly card...be still my heart! Gorgeous design in gorgeous colors. Just beautiful! And the nested circles...the blue die really makes them pop. So love the big leaves too. Girl you've got a way with these stencils! While Andy is working such long hours, I guess that means you'll just have to spend extra time in your craft room! Hope you do get some time together!! Have a great weekend. Bev
ReplyDeleteWell if you're blaming me for these gorgeous stunners, I'll happily stand on the receiving end of that finger. The colors on all of these just scream summertime. Hope your hubby gets to enjoy a little bit of sunshine with you soon!
ReplyDeleteEvery card a charmer, c... look at all the crafting time you've gotten in!!! I'm not one to use stencils often, either. But love what you've done with Shery's gorgeous ones!

ReplyDeleteKeep on creating girl cuz I will NEVER EVER get tired of enjoying the prettties that you share with us! You've definitely got 'summer' on your mind based on the pretty soft colors that you used on your cards! So in awe of your blended background on your first card (and the winged critters), love the ombre background and the happy color of 'happy' on your second card, and your third card...my fav - love how the 'happy, happy' font seems to mimic the shape of the leaves.
ReplyDeleteOkay...I'm ready to see more...bring it on girl!
Sounds like you and hubby are extremely busy!!! I'm glad you had some time to get crafty Carol, because we all need that to keep our sanity. What is it they say? They all look so fabulous, fabulous colors, fabulous stencils, fabulous everything!! Hugs, Brenda
